Provides excellent customer service to internal and external employees while researching and resolving payroll discrepancies. Maintains accurate records and supports compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></p><p><strong>Role Specific Essential Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Verify and process daily employee electronic visit verification shifts, bi-weekly timecards and PTO requests.</li><li>Processing miscellaneous payroll paperwork as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with employees and other departments to identify, research, and resolve discrepancies with EVV shifts, timesheets, and payroll documents.</li><li>Provide guidance on accurate timekeeping procedures and DOL and DHS statutes to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service and exercise discernment in high stress situations.</li><li>Provide support on initiatives that support Accra’s strategies and goals under direction from the FMS Finance Supervisor.</li><li>Enhance the quality of community relations and encourage awareness and acceptance of Accra in public, private, and professional communities.</li><li>Work effectively with management to achieve Accra’s mission, vision, and Strategic Plan. Ensure decisions are based on Accra’s values, operating standards, policies and procedures.</li><li>Stay informed on state and national trends for our industry.</li></ul><p><strong>Accra Essential Functions as an Individual Contributor:</strong></p><ul><li>Understands and communicate effectively with internal and/or external stakeholders using a variety of contexts and formats, which include writing, speaking, reading, listening, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements.</li><li>Meets metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) as applicable to department benchmarks.</li><li>Acts with integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.</li><li>Delivers work that meets organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Contributes to meeting team deadlines and responsibilities, listens to others and values opinions, helps team to meet goals, welcomes newcomers and promotes a cooperative team atmosphere.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>At least one year of payroll experience and some home care or human services experience is a plus</li><li>Have a general understanding of basic financial principles and processes. </li><li>Intermediate computer proficiency, including the use of internal office and organizational software (such as Microsoft Office and Excel), and the ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency with Accra specific systems.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to review, validate, and process information accurately in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.</li><li>Strong critical thinking and effective problem solving skills.</li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.</li><li>Demonstrate a positive attitude of cross functional team collaboration and team player, both as a leader and as a follower.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to provide accurate information professionally and empathetically, including during high-volume or challenging phone interactions.</li><li>Ability to adapt to rapid change and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
