<p>In ALTEN we are looking for an RWD Concept Engineer to drive the feasibility and design of rear-wheel drive systems for electric vehicles. You will evaluate FWD vs. RWD trade-offs, design rear axles, and ensure integration with suspension, chassis, and battery systems. This role is critical for defining the vehicle’s traction architecture and requires a strong analytical mindset and cross-functional collaboration.</p>🔧 Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead feasibility studies for RWD vs. FWD configurations, including axle durability, shaft angles, and packaging constraints.</li><li>Develop detailed designs for rear axles, half-shafts, and driveline components.</li><li>Collaborate with chassis, thermal, and battery teams to ensure seamless integration.</li><li>Create decision-support materials (trade-off matrices, risk assessments) for leadership reviews.</li><li>Document assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies to guide engineering decisions.</li><li>Support prototyping and testing of RWD concepts.</li></ul><p></p> <p></p>✅ Required Skills & Qualifications:<ul><li>5+ years of experience in driveline, axle, or vehicle architecture design (automotive/EV preferred).</li><li>Expertise in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE (mandatory for 3D modeling and assembly).</li><li>Experience with driveline simulation tools (AVL Cruise, CarSim) and durability analysis.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex engineering trade-offs.</li><li>Fluent English (technical writing and presentation skills).</li><li>Willingness to relocate to the USA (visa support available).</li><li>Management skills: Ability to lead small teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and manage project timelines.</li></ul><p></p>🌟 Nice-to-Have:<ul><li>Experience with EV skateboard architectures or modular driveline systems.</li><li>Knowledge of NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) considerations in driveline design.</li><li>Familiarity with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).</li></ul> <ul><li>Sueldo base</li><li>Seguro de Gastos Médicos Mayores (incluye plan dental y visión)</li><li>15 días de aguinaldo</li><li>25% de prima vacacional</li><li>12 días de vacaciones (A partir del primer año)</li><li>Seguro social</li><li>Vales de despensa quincenales</li></ul>
