This role is perfect for a self-starter who excels in a deadline-driven environment and has a passion for building winning responses.</span></p><p>This is a fully remote, full-time position.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The Proposal Writer will be responsible for leading proposal efforts from opportunity identification through final submission and post-award debriefing. Responsibilities include:</p><p><strong>Proposal Lifecycle Management</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Full-Cycle Ownership:</strong> Lead and manage the end-to-end proposal development process for assigned opportunities, strictly adhering to all solicitation requirements and deadlines.</li><li><strong>Strategy &amp; Coordination:</strong> Facilitate kickoff meetings, manage proposal calendars, and track progress against milestones, ensuring seamless collaboration among all team members.</li><li><strong>Bid/No Bid Support:</strong> Research and analyze opportunities, assisting leadership and business development teams with critical <strong>Bid/No Bid decision-making</strong>.</li><li><strong>Template &amp; Content Management:</strong> Design, create, and maintain proposal templates, ensuring consistency and compliance. Manage and continuously update the <strong>boilerplate material</strong> and proposal content library for accuracy and quality.</li></ul><p><strong>Writing, Editing, and Quality Assurance</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Proposal Writing:</strong> Serve as a primary writer, developing clear, persuasive, and compliant narrative content, including technical, management, past performance, and security volumes.</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Coordination:</strong> Act as the central point of contact, efficiently coordinating input from <strong>Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)</strong>, technical staff, and internal stakeholders.</li><li><strong>Proofreading and Editing:</strong> Conduct rigorous editing, proofreading, and quality assurance checks to ensure consistency, grammatical accuracy, technical correctness, and absolute compliance with all solicitation instructions.</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation and Growth</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and write supporting <strong>technical documentation</strong> and key appendices as required.</li><li>Participate in and drive lessons-learned sessions following submissions to implement continuous process improvements.</li></ul><p><strong>Contracts and Operational Support (Cross-Functional)</strong></p><ul><li>Assist the Contracts team in the administration and lifecycle management of prime <strong>contracts and subcontracts</strong>, ensuring documentation is current and compliant.</li><li>Provide essential <strong>back office support</strong> and administrative assistance to the Executive and Business Development teams, including managing meeting logistics, maintaining shared calendars, and preparing presentation materials as needed.</li><li>Execute essential financial and administrative support tasks, including processing <strong>time card approvals</strong><span> and coordinating </span><strong>invoice management</strong><span>.</span></li><li>Develop and maintain external <strong>marketing materials</strong><span>, such as capability statements and solution briefs, to support ongoing business development efforts.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of <strong>2 years of professional experience</strong> in proposal management, coordination, and technical writing, specifically focused on competitive contract responses.</li><li><strong>Federal Expertise:</strong> Proven track record and in-depth knowledge of Federal and State procurement processes (including FAR/DFARS knowledge) and successful response strategies.</li><li><strong>Industry Focus:</strong> Direct experience within the <strong>Information Technology (IT) industry</strong> (e.g., managing proposals for software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, or managed services).</li><li><strong>Certification:</strong> Must possess current <strong>APMP Foundation Level Certification</strong>.</li><li><strong>Skills:</strong> Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills, with expertise in managing rigorous internal and external deadlines.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Additional proposal training certifications (e.g., ProposalTeam’s GovCon and Proposal Team Training).</li><li>Experience responding to proposals for <strong>State, Local, and Corporate</strong> entities in addition to Federal contracts.</li><li>A demonstrated <strong>growth mindset</strong>, positive outlook, and a goal-driven approach to proposal execution.</li><li>Proficiency with common proposal development tools (e.g., SharePoint, MS Office Suite, content management systems).</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong><br/></p><ul><li>Collaborate with various departments to ensure the seamless integration of technologies and solutions.</li><li>Facilitate problem-solving sessions to address complex challenges and foster innovation.</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Attributes</strong>:<br/></p><ul><li>Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.</li><li>Forward-thinking with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.</li><li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong><br/></p><ul><li>A willingness to continually learn and adapt to the evolving technology landscape.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li></ul><p>All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories.
