In this role you will lead business development strategy and outreach focused on targeting financial services, fintech, insurance, insurtech, real estate, proptech and related professional services businesses. This includes managing all inbound leads and proactively identifying additional opportunities to grow the agency. You will work closely with Caliber’s leadership team to help craft effective pitches. </p><p dir="ltr">This role requires an individual who can combine a solid understanding of PR agencies with creative selling skills to forge relationships and close new business with clients in the financial and related tech industries. The compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 base salary + commissions + bonuses + benefits.<strong> </strong></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>About your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Lead business development strategy, including working alongside leadership to set KPIs for success.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Learn and maintain an in-depth understanding of Caliber’s capabilities and the industries we service.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Proactively identify new business leads and own the process of engaging with and closing prospects.  </p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Sell the value of Caliber with confidence and conviction during introductory calls and pitches.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Work with Caliber’s leadership team to help them tap into their networks and liaise between prospects and relevant leadership team members.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Support organic growth within Caliber’s existing client base, working with our team leads to help uncover potential scope expansion opportunities. </p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Vet RFIs and RFPs and, if deemed appropriate, work with team members to develop responses and ensure timely and impactful submission. </p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Work closely with individual team members to craft and refine successful capabilities and proposal decks.  </p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Prepare and review consulting agreements and amendments in close coordination with management.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Work closely with our senior leadership team to finalize staffing of all new clients and ensure a successful handover to the client team.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Ensure our sales CRM is consistently updated.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Develop and maintain ongoing target lead lists.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Create monthly and quarterly business development reports for Caliber’s CEO and senior leadership team. </p></li></ul><ul><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Remain current on trends within Caliber’s industries of focus.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Represent Caliber at 4 to 6 relevant conferences and events per year to forge new relationships and support existing partnerships.</p></li></ul><p><strong> </strong><strong>About our Ideal Candidate</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">A minimum of 8 years relevant sales experience (selling to fintechs and/or financial institutions), ideally in a public relations agency setting.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Experience in shaping the business development processes, directing new business strategies and developing sharp, tailored proposals.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Ability to effectively communicate with clients and high-level executives both verbally and in writing.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Proven track record of closing new business.</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Excellent project management and multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once, work quickly while paying attention to detail and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><em><strong>Caliber is an Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></em></p><p dir="ltr"><em>Caliber Corporate Advisers is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
