As a key member of the Product team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design culture, establishing scalable processes, and driving innovation across our platform. Beyond research and design, you will build a foundation for future growth by developing our design system and aligning closely with cross-functional teams.</p> <p>If you are passionate about crafting intuitive user experiences, thrive in scale-up environments, and enjoy building systems from the ground up, we want to hear from you! </p> <p><em><strong>***Required*** Share a link to your portfolio or past projects so we can see how you bring ideas to life. </strong></em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do </strong></p> <p>User Research & Workflow Mapping </p> <ul> <li>Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, surveys, shadowing, and usage analytics to understand workflows and pain points. </li> <li>Analyze findings to determine efficient, flexible, and consistent workflows that address user needs. Create design artifacts (user journeys, personas, storyboards, etc.) to communicate design concepts and strategies. </li> </ul> <p>Design Creation </p> <ul> <li>Translate research insights into polished, high-fidelity designs using Figma and similar tools. </li> <li>Continuously refine ideas and designs by incorporating user feedback through usability testing, prototypes, and other interactive solutions. </li> <li>Inspire internal and external stakeholders by presenting futuristic innovative ideas. </li> </ul> <p>Design System & Style Guide Development </p> <ul> <li>Evaluate, choose, and implement an industry-leading design system framework (such as Material UI, Ant Design, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS). </li> <li>Maximize design and developer productivity by building a component library (in Storybook or similar tool). Populate both the design system and style guide with content, including typography, colour schemes, iconography, and component guidelines. </li> <li>Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines) and support scalability across future platform iterations. </li> </ul> <p>Asset Preparation & Delivery </p> <ul> <li>Partner with developers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of design assets. </li> <li>Deliver all design assets, including annotated screens, style guides, workflows, and component libraries, ensuring the development team has everything needed for rapid implementation. </li> </ul> <p>Collaboration & Testing </p> <ul> <li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to align design goals with business objectives. </li> <li>Help plan and execute beta testing to validate design effectiveness, iterating based on feedback to improve usability and satisfaction. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring </strong></p> <ul> <li>6+ years in a combined Product and/or UX design role, focusing on SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, and/or large- scale platform redesigns. </li> <li>Expertise in creating and/or maintaining scalable design systems and style guides for SaaS platforms. Strong portfolio showcasing impactful UX design projects and case studies. </li> <li>Research & Design: Expertise in user research methodologies, workflow mapping, wireframing, and prototyping. </li> <li>Design Tools: Strong proficiency in Figma. Knowledge of Storybook (or similar platform) for creating and managing high-fidelity designs. </li> <li>Technical Proficiency: Experience creating components using Material UI, Tailwind CSS or other responsive design frameworks. </li> <li>Collaboration: Strong communication and trustworthiness to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Presentation Skills: Strong storytelling and presentation abilities. </li> <li>Leadership: Experience mentoring or leading design teams/projects. </li> <li>Driven and results oriented: Comfortable with fast-paced, iterative development cycles and enjoys the collaborative energy of a growing start-up. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Points If You Have ✨ </strong></p> <ul> <li>Track record of multi-persona research and design in B2B or B2B2C environments. </li> <li>Proven experience with compliance-heavy or data-driven applications. </li> <li>Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for enterprise platforms. </li> <li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally 2-4 times a year. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation</strong></p> <div> <p>In line with Ontario’s Pay Transparency legislation, the expected base compensation for this role is $115,000–$135,000 CAD annually, with actual earnings dependent on experience, skills, and performance.
