Onward and Upward!!!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> The Principal AI Research Scientist is responsible for developing and implementing new machine learning and optimization methodologies as needed for specific models, analysis or products. Will perform at the highest standards in our field and fully support the company's product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with predictive insights gained through careful analysis of company data. Also is responsible for researching and developing products for the company and provide advice and guidance to other team member.</p> <p><br/><strong>JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br/>1. Coordinate the research, design, building, and maintaining of predictive models in production environment.<br/>2. Partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities to leverage company data and<br/>drive business solutions. Directly communicate with clients for feedback and implementation of products.<br/>3. Enthusiastically research and experiment with new Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and models and discover opportunities for new AI features, influencing current and future product developments.<br/>4. Research, develop and implement new machine learning and optimization methodologies as needed for specific models or analyses.<br/>5. Develop and build cutting-edge analytic systems, predictive and prescriptive models to elevate customer experience, and track impact over time.<br/>6. Write high-quality, reusable and production-ready code. Interpret and analyze data problems. <br/>7. Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering and DevOps colleagues in the implementation of models.<br/>8. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data quality and accuracy.<br/>9. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments. Coordinate and onboard new team members.<br/>10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.<br/>11. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.<br/>12. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data -- this role is considered to be a High Risk and Privileged Role.</p> <strong><span>Qualifications</span></strong> <p><strong><u>JOB REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p> <ul> <li><strong><span>Ph.D. or M.S.</span></strong><span> in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. </span><span>Healthcare or health services experience is </span><span>a plus</span></li> <li><strong><span>8+ years of hands-on industry experience </span></strong><span>applying Machine Learning (ML), Predictive Modeling, or Generative/Agentic AI in industry, with a proven track record of delivering solutions from prototype to production.</span></li> <li><strong><span>2-3 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI </span></strong><span>and<strong> agent development.</strong></span></li> <li><span>Strong proficiency in Python, </span><span>deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and agentic frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen, crewAI, n8n).</span></li> <li><span>Expertise in designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipelines, and integrating planning, memory, tools, MCP (Model Context Protocol) for agent workflows.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in building evaluation pipelines for LLM and agent performance, including metrics such as accuracy, reliability, and latency.</span></li> <li><span>Proficiency in using AI Coding tools like Github Copilot, OpenAI Codex etc. </span></li> <li><span>Strong foundation in ML theory, including deep learning, statistics, or optimization. </span></li> <li><span>A </span><strong><span>product-oriented mindset</span></strong><span>, with the ability to align applied science work with business objectives and impact.</span></li> <li><span>Excellent </span><strong><span>communication</span></strong><span> and </span><strong><span>cross-functional collaboration</span></strong><span> skills.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u>COMPENSATION</u></strong></p> <p>The salary range for this position is $180K to $200K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.
