This individual will serve as the critical link between Army business stakeholders and technical implementation teams responsible for transforming legacy ERP environments.</p><p>Working within a dynamic modernization program, the Business Analyst will analyze complex business operations, identify modernization opportunities, and translate operational requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications. This role requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to thrive in an evolving environment where priorities, organizational structures, and requirements may change over time.</p><p>The successful candidate will work closely with Army personnel, functional subject matter experts, business architects, and system architects to streamline business processes, support federal compliance requirements, and ensure the modernized ERP solution aligns with Army mission objectives and operational needs.</p><p>In addition to traditional business analysis responsibilities, the role may include organizational change management assessments, analysis of laws, regulations, and policies, deployment and fielding considerations, user experience evaluations, and development of strategic recommendations as program requirements evolve.</p><hr><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Business Process Analysis & Modernization</h3><ul><li>Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to identify business challenges, operational pain points, and modernization opportunities.</li><li>Analyze complex business processes across the Army Business Mission Area (BMA), including process dependencies, integration points, and operational impacts.</li><li>Evaluate current-state operations and develop recommendations for future-state business process improvements.</li><li>Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, simplify business operations, strengthen internal controls, improve data integrity, and enhance auditability.</li></ul><h3>Requirements Management</h3><ul><li>Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.</li><li>Translate operational needs and business process improvements into detailed functional requirements and supporting analysis artifacts.</li><li>Develop and maintain prioritized requirement backlogs throughout the requirements and implementation lifecycle.</li><li>Define and document clear acceptance criteria to ensure delivered capabilities meet operational, regulatory, and stakeholder expectations.</li><li>Support requirements traceability and ongoing refinement as program needs evolve.</li></ul><h3>Stakeholder Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison between Army business stakeholders and technical development teams.</li><li>Lead working sessions to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements while building consensus among competing stakeholder groups.</li><li>Communicate complex business and technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Foster collaboration across geographically dispersed and remote teams.</li></ul><h3>Strategic Analysis & Program Support</h3><ul><li>Analyze laws, regulations, policies, and guidance impacting Army business operations and ERP modernization efforts.</li><li>Assess organizational change management impacts and support transition planning activities.</li><li>Identify risks, dependencies, and process maturity opportunities that may affect program success.</li><li>Develop executive briefings, presentations, decision papers, and analytical reports to support program leadership.</li><li>Provide recommendations and thought leadership regarding process improvements and modernization best practices.</li></ul><hr><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a <strong>Secret Security Clearance</strong>.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Public Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of <strong>5 years of experience</strong> in business analysis, business process improvement, requirements analysis, functional consulting, or related disciplines.</li><li>Experience supporting large-scale <strong>Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)</strong> initiatives, preferably within the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Army, or Federal Government environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Army or DoD business processes within one or more end-to-end business domains, including:<ul><li>Acquire-to-Retire</li><li>Budget-to-Report</li><li>Cost Management</li><li>Deploy-to-Redeployment/Retrograde</li><li>Order-to-Cash</li><li>Procure-to-Pay</li><li>Plan-to-Stock</li><li>Request-to-Delivery</li><li>Service Request-to-Resolution</li></ul></li><li>Experience working within structured System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.</li><li>Proven ability to manage ambiguity, establish priorities, and deliver high-quality work products in rapidly changing environments.</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.</li><li>Experience developing documentation that supports compliance, audit readiness, and federal governance requirements.</li></ul><hr><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Hands-on experience supporting Army ERP systems such as:<ul><li>General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)</li><li>Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)</li><li>Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army)</li><li>Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP)</li></ul></li><li>Experience supporting ERP modernization, ERP convergence initiatives, or <strong>SAP S/4HANA</strong> migration programs within DoD or Federal environments.</li><li>Functional understanding of SAP ERP architecture and business process configuration.</li><li>Experience performing fit-gap analysis and validating requirements against SAP standard functionality, including S/4HANA capabilities.</li><li>Experience leveraging emerging technologies such as:<ul><li>Generative AI</li><li>Large Language Models (LLMs)</li><li>Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)</li><li>Agentic AI solutions</li><li>Ontology-based approaches for requirements engineering and business analysis</li></ul></li><li>Familiarity with Federal financial management regulations, acquisition processes, and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Understanding of internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance requirements associated with Federal ERP implementations.</li><li>SAP certifications such as SAP S/4HANA or SAP Certified Application Associate.</li><li>Business Analysis certifications such as:<ul><li>CBAP</li><li>PMI-PBA</li></ul></li><li>Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe, Agile Practitioner, etc.).</li><li>Master's degree in a related discipline.</li></ul></div></div>
