We create exceptional experiences for children and families while running a complex, operationally driven business behind the scenes.</p><p>We are seeking a strategic Head of Finance to lead all financial aspects of a growing, multi-entity organization. This role is ideal for a CFO who thrives in competitive environments, balances strategy with execution, and has a proven ability to drive profitability, scale operations, and support complex growth initiatives including M&A, capital projects, and international operations.</p><p>The CFO will join the executive team—providing insight, structure, and financial discipline while enabling growth.</p><br />ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership<ul><li>Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, including growth initiatives, acquisitions, and operational scaling. </li><li>Translate business plans into integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs tailored to multi-location and seasonal operations.</li><li>Lead enterprise-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation to support data-driven decision-making.</li><li>Provide scenario analysis and ROI modeling for:</li><ul><li> New facility launches </li><li> Program and pricing decisions </li><li> Marketing spend and customer acquisition </li><li> Staffing and capacity planning</li></ul></ul>Financial Operations & Performance<ul><li>Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple entities. </li><li>Ensure financial and operational compliance. </li><li>Implement proactive cost management and margin improvement initiatives to drive sustained profitability. </li><li>Develop dashboards and performance reporting that connect operational KPIs to financial outcomes. </li><li>Manage relationships with external investors.</li><li>Secure and manage financing for growth initiatives and capital projects. </li><li>Oversee treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, debt restructuring, and FX strategy (as applicable). </li></ul>Systems, Process & Scale<ul><li> Build scalable financial systems and processes.</li><li> Improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight through automation and streamlined workflows. </li></ul>Leadership & Stakeholder Management<ul><li> Build, lead, and mentor high-performing finance team. </li><li> Act as a trusted financial advisor to internal stakeholders and external partners. </li><li> Communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders.</li></ul> <p>Experience</p><ul><li>5-10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior roles such as Head of Finance, VP Finance, or Controller with expanding scope</li><li>Experience operating in a multi-location, multi-entity, and/or seasonal business (sports, fitness, hospitality, franchise, or retail industries a strong plus)</li><li>Demonstrated experience partnering directly with a CEO or executive team on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational scaling</li><li>Track record leading M&A activity, due diligence, or post-acquisition integration</li><li>Experience securing and managing financing (debt, equity, or growth capital) and managing relationships with investors or lenders</li><li>Hands-on treasury experience, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and debt structuring</li><li>Experience implementing or upgrading financial systems, ERPs, or reporting infrastructure to support a scaling organization</li><li>Proven experience building, leading, and developing a finance team</li></ul><p>Skills & Competencies</p><ul><li>Advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and ROI/business case analysis skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect operational KPIs to financial performance</li><li>Deep understanding of GAAP, financial compliance, and multi-entity consolidation</li><li>Proficiency with financial planning and reporting tools (advanced Excel required; experience with BI/dashboard tools a plus)</li><li>Excellent executive communication skills — able to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders and external partners</li><li>Strong leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration skills</li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with evolving priorities</li></ul> <p>Compensation: Competitive based on experience</p>
