If you enjoy taking ownership, solving problems from the ground up, and working on products used every day by thousands of users, we'd love to hear from you.</p><p></p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li> Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern software engineering practices. </li><li> Translate business and user requirements into secure, efficient, and maintainable software solutions. </li><li> Develop backend services using PHP, Laravel, and other object-oriented development frameworks. </li><li> Build intuitive and responsive frontend applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and existing jQuery components where required. </li><li> Design and optimise complex PostgreSQL queries, reports, and high-volume data processing operations. </li><li> Develop and maintain features involving payment processing, billing workflows, reporting, and third-party system integrations. </li><li> Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across application code, databases, and Linux environments. </li><li> Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, software architecture, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li> Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing software solutions. </li><li> Support ongoing platform enhancements while ensuring system stability, security, and performance. </li></ul><p></p>What You'll Enjoy<ul><li> Work on a mature, large-scale SaaS platform with real-world technical complexity. </li><li> Solve meaningful engineering challenges involving high-volume data, integrations, and business-critical workflows. </li><li> Collaborate with experienced software engineers, product specialists, and technical leaders. </li><li> Influence technical decisions, architecture, and long-term product direction. </li><li> Enjoy a high level of ownership and autonomy while contributing to software that supports thousands of users every day. </li><li> Grow your technical expertise through continuous learning and exposure to modern development practices.</li></ul> Required Qualifications<ul><li> Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development. </li><li> Strong commercial experience with PHP and frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony. </li><li> Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL optimisation, and relational database design. </li><li> Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript. </li><li> Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and jQuery. </li><li> Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns. </li><li> Practical experience applying software engineering principles such as SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI. </li><li> Experience working in Linux environments, including server troubleshooting and log analysis. </li><li> Familiarity with Windows development environments. </li><li> Experience developing or supporting applications involving financial transactions, billing systems, or payment gateways. </li><li> Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. </li><li> Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed teams. </li></ul><p></p>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li> Experience working on enterprise SaaS platforms serving multiple customers or organisations. </li><li> Background in education technology, healthcare, finance, or other highly regulated industries. </li><li> Experience integrating with external APIs or government systems. </li><li> Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or similar cloud infrastructure. </li><li> Experience modernising large legacy applications while maintaining platform stability. </li><li> Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile software development practices.</li></ul>
