<p><span><span>ECS is seeking an <strong><em>ARPA-H Biopharmaceutical / Nucleic Acid Manufacturing Specialist </em></strong>to work <strong><em>remotely</em></strong>.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>Are you a passionate scientist with expertise in <strong>biopharmaceutical and nucleic acid manufacturing</strong>? </span>Are you ready to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) in their mission to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting complex and leading-edge research and development (R&amp;D) projects designed to arrive at high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems?</p> <p><span>ECS is seeking a <strong>Technical SETA – Biopharmaceutical / Nucleic Acid Manufacturing</strong></span><strong><span> Specialist</span></strong><span> to join our team and support an ARPA-H Program Manager developing breakthrough technologies in gene and cell therapies. This is a remote position.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>These SETA duties include but are not limited to: </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Assist, support, and provide advice to the Program Manager to further the development and progress of new and existing programs. </span></li> <li><span>Search and review industrial, scientific, and technical literature in areas of product development and manufacturing of DNA, RNA, and viral vectors for therapies.</span></li> <li><span>Analyze technical, scientific, regulatory, and technoeconomic data with respect to novelty, rigor, and robustness. </span></li> <li><span>Clearly and concisely synthesize takeaways. Compare and contrast technical approaches and innovations.</span></li> <li><span>Under the leadership of a PM and working with a team, build and maintain detailed program plans.</span></li> <li><span>Write and review technical documents and solicitations.</span></li> <li><span>Conduct thorough technical scientific evaluation of the current R&amp;D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios and address critical needs that are aligned with the ARPA-H mission.</span></li> <li><span>Monitor and track performers progress toward established metrics. </span></li> <li><span>Read and digest complex information and develop team and executive level briefings for technical and non-technical audiences. </span></li> <li><span>Use your strong logical and critical thinking skills to critically review scientific and technical data. </span></li> <li><span>Integrate into an existing team to support current ARPA-H efforts and operate independently and in a group environment in support of technical R&amp;D efforts. </span></li> <li><span>Perform basic administrative tasks such as collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing Internal programmatic reports/briefings on relevant topics in a health-related field. </span></li> <li><span>Some CONUS travel is expected (~10-20%) as needed to fully support the Program Manager and Program. </span></li> </ul> <p><em><span>Salary Range: $100,000 - $180,000</span></em></p> <p><span><span><a href="https://ecstech.com/careers/benefits"><em><span>General Description of Benefits</span></em></a></span></span></p> <strong><span>Qualifications</span></strong> <ul> <li><span>Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the biopharmaceutical or biomanufacturing industry.</span></li> <li><em><strong><span>PhD in cell or molecular biology or related disciplines. </span></strong></em></li> <li><span>Proficiency in cell and molecular biology laboratory techniques.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with QC analytical techniques and assay development for cell and gene therapies. </span></li> <li><span>Experience with genetic engineering techniques for mammalian cells.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with stem cell differentiation techniques.</span></li> <li><span>Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to integrate, process, analyze, and synthesize search data. </span></li> <li><span>Excellent technical writing and communication skills.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to meet deadlines.</span></li> <li><span>Willingness to work in a high-paced environment.</span></li> <li><span>Intellectual curiosity and interest in expanding knowledge to new scientific areas.</span></li> <li><span>Ability and willingness to brainstorm with other colleagues to find alternative solutions to scientific/technical problems.</span></li> <li><span>Must be willing to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.</span></li> <li><em><strong><span>Must be able to obtain a federal government Public Trust clearance. </span></strong></em></li> </ul>
