<p><span><span>ECS is seeking a <strong><em>Cloud Engineer </em></strong>to work <strong><em>remotely</em></strong>. </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>ECS is seeking a </span></span><span><span>Cloud Engineer</span></span><span><span> to </span><span>support the</span><span> </span><span>Department of Homeland Security (DHS)</span><span> </span><span>DCCO contrac</span><span>t</span><span>. </span><span>The Cloud Engineer will </span><span>provide </span><span>technical lead</span><span>ership to</span><span> a</span><span> team of engineers </span><span>and </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> </span><span>the design, </span><span>implementation, </span><span>and </span><span>operations and maintenance </span><span>(O&M)</span><span> of </span><span>the</span><span> multi-tenant </span><span>Web Content Management as a Service (</span><span>WCMaaS</span><span>) platform</span><span>. </span><span>This includes managing all aspects of the </span><span>underlying infrastructure, such as servers and storage. </span><span>The Cloud Engineer will </span><span>work to </span><span>continuously </span><span>enhance </span><span>the </span><span>platform</span><span>, </span><span>leveraging</span><span> </span><span>secure</span><span>, </span><span>scalable</span><span>, </span><span>cost-effective, and operationally sustainable</span><span> cloud solutions. </span></span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span>This role requires deep </span><span>expertise</span><span> in cloud </span><span>services</span><span>, infrastructure automation, </span><span>DevSecOps</span><span>, </span><span>open-source</span><span> ecosystems, </span><span>enterprise solution design, and software and infrastructure engineering practices. The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership, the ability to engage with </span><span>a diverse set of </span><span>stakeholders</span><span>, and the </span><span>ability</span><span> to adapt </span><span>solutions</span><span> to evolving requirements</span><span> and priorities</span><span>. The Cloud Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to </span><span>establishing</span><span> best practices that enhance delivery processes across teams.</span></span><span> </span></span></p> <p><span>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span></p> <ul> <li>Independently applies a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures.</li> <li>Continuously optimizing AWS Cloud platform services across all integration points.</li> <li>Interact closely with key project stakeholders to design, plan and implement operationally sustainable solutions.</li> <li>Work closely with the technical team to deliver proposed designs.</li> <li>Provide thought and design leadership.</li> <li>Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms.</li> <li>Lead solution architecting sessions evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost.</li> <li>Problem solves challenges as they arise.</li> <li>Adapt designs to new requirements or discoveries.</li> <li>Leverage data driven approach to continuous solution, organization, and workforce improvement.</li> <li>Optimizes performance across multiple teams by suggesting delivery process transformation towards evolving best practices based on each team and project context.</li> </ul> <p><em><span>Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000</span></em></p> <p><span><a href="https://ecstech.com/careers/benefits"><em><span>General Description of Benefits</span></em></a></span></p> <strong><span>Qualifications</span></strong> <ul> <li><em><strong>Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant filed</strong></em></li> <li>5+ years’ experience</li> <li><em><strong>Must be a U.S. citizen</strong></em></li> <li><em><strong>Must be able to pass a Public Trust investigation</strong></em></li> <li>Related experience including a broad background in various technology solutions, including: <ul> <li>Cloud Services</li> <li>Infrastructure Automation</li> <li>DevSecOps</li> <li>Open-Source Ecosystems</li> <li>Application Programming</li> <li>Service Oriented Architecture</li> <li>Enterprise Architecture</li> </ul> </li> <li>Demonstrates a deep working knowledge of all aspects of Cloud Development Platforms including IT operations, virtualization, containerization, networking, storage, disaster recovery, security policy and controls implementation, system management, and data migration.</li> <li>Demonstrates expertise in enterprise solution design, SOA models and approaches to enterprise cloud solutions, and promotion of architecture principles along with conducting research in specific technology areas and being up-to-date with the latest of industry trends on application architectures.</li> <li>Possesses significant expertise in the existing cloud computing technology: public, private, and hybrid, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.</li> <li>Proficiency in Linux and Ansible</li> <li>Demonstrates very good written and oral presentation skills and outstanding client-interaction skills.</li> <li>Thinks creatively and demonstrates the ability to work independently, or with a group, on complex tasks with little direction, supervision, and management oversight.</li> <li>Oversees junior engineers and mentors colleagues</li> </ul>
