This role requires a unique blend of deep technical depth, platform-level strategic thinking, and a resourceful, bias-for-action mindset to build the payments platform that powers the multiple Félix products requiring money movement, while improving conversion, authorization rates, and unit economics.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">You will own our payment orchestration layer and the ecosystem around it: multiple payment processors, banking and settlement partners, tokenization, and reconciliation. You will be a doer, not just a delegator, working closely with engineering to build sophisticated real-time systems while owning critical business metrics like authorization rate, processing cost, and GMV. This is a role for a builder who thrives on extreme ownership in a high-growth, ambiguous environment.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Responsibilities</strong></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><ul><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Define & Execute Payments Product Strategy</strong> – Work with Product and Engineering leadership to develop and own the payments roadmap, focused on unifying our processors, banking partners, and payment methods into a single, scalable orchestration platform for pay-ins, routing, and settlement. This requires a platform-first, reusable-component mindset.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Own the Payment Orchestrator</strong> – Drive the evolution of our in-house orchestrator and its rules engine: intelligent routing across processors, and fallback and resilience logic. Balance authorization rates, cost per transaction, and reliability. Own reconciliation and settlement health across processors and banking partners, driving toward automation.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Hands-On Data Analysis & Experimentation</strong> – Own payment metrics and have a hands-on relationship with the data. You must be able to navigate complex dashboards, run simple to medium-complexity SQL queries to validate hypotheses, and partner with Data Analysts and Engineers to drive improvements in conversion, acceptance, and authorization.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Expand Payment Methods & Rails</strong> – Partner directly with engineering to design, build, and launch payment methods and integrations across cards, wallets, ACH, cash, and additional processors and settlement banks.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong> – Work closely with Engineering, Finance (reconciliation, treasury, revenue recognition), and Operations (payment ops, disputes) to develop scalable solutions.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Fraud Coordination</strong> - Partner with Fraud to monitor fraud performance by payment method and supply the data needed for fraud checkpoints.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Partner & BD Coordination</strong> - Partner with Business Development on processor and banking partner negotiations.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class=""><strong>Stakeholder & Partner Management</strong> – Communicate payments strategy and impact to executive leadership, and manage relationships with payment processors, acquiring and banking partners, and card networks.</li></ul><div><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31);">Requirements</strong></div><ul><li style="text-align: justify;" class="">5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on payments, ideally in a fast-paced startup or growth environment where you were a primary builder.</li><li style="text-align: justify;" class="">Proven technical fluency & resourcefulness.
