<p>We are looking for an Engineering Director to own the technology platform behind the GoMining ecosystem.</p><p>This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep engineering expertise with strong product and business thinking.</p><p>You will own the Platform end-to-end — technology strategy, architecture, engineering organization, roadmap, reliability, delivery, and its impact on the wider business.</p><p>The Platform powers multiple GoMining products and includes core application infrastructure, authentication and authorization, integrations, shared services, analytics infrastructure, user restrictions, native applications, reliability, and other foundational capabilities.</p><p>This is not a role where success is measured simply by uptime, delivery, or engineering output.</p><p>We expect the Engineering Director to understand where technology creates or limits business value, make trade-offs between long-term architecture and immediate commercial priorities, and build a platform that allows the entire company to move faster.</p><p></p><br />ResponsibilitiesPlatform Strategy & Architecture<ul><li>Own the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the GoMining Platform.</li><li>Build scalable shared infrastructure used across multiple products and engineering teams.</li><li>Define which capabilities should be centralized at Platform level and which should remain within individual product teams.</li><li>Drive major architectural and technical decisions.</li><li>Identify scalability and architectural bottlenecks before they become business-critical.</li><li>Balance long-term platform investments with immediate product and commercial priorities.</li></ul>Reliability & Engineering Excellence<ul><li>Own platform reliability, availability, latency, scalability, and operational performance.</li><li>Define and improve SLAs, DORA metrics, engineering performance, and incident-management practices.</li><li>Improve release stability, engineering velocity, and system resilience.</li><li>Lead post-incident improvements and eliminate systemic reliability issues.</li><li>Maintain a high engineering bar without unnecessary bureaucracy.</li></ul>Core Platform Capabilities<ul><li>Own shared authentication, authorization, registration, and 2FA infrastructure.</li><li>Develop common account controls, user restrictions, and security mechanisms.</li><li>Own integrations and shared backend capabilities required across GoMining products.</li><li>Develop shared analytics and event infrastructure.</li><li>Support common infrastructure across web and native applications.</li><li>Partner with Product, Design, Security, and engineering teams on cross-company capabilities.</li></ul>Product & Business Impact<p>Platform at GoMining is not an isolated infrastructure function.</p><p>You will work directly with product leaders, General Managers, and C-level stakeholders to understand where technology can unlock growth and where platform limitations are holding the business back.</p><ul><li>Prioritize engineering initiatives based on technical risk and business impact.</li><li>Understand how platform decisions affect revenue, conversion, customer experience, and product velocity.</li><li>Identify technical changes that can unlock meaningful business results.</li><li>Balance competing priorities across multiple product teams.</li><li>Make clear trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, security, and business value.</li><li>Measure Platform not only through technical metrics, but through how effectively it accelerates the company.</li></ul>Engineering Leadership<ul><li>Lead and develop the Platform engineering organization.</li><li>Own team structure, hiring, performance, priorities, and execution.</li><li>Build a culture of strong engineering ownership and accountability.</li><li>Stay close enough to architecture and technology to challenge decisions and make informed trade-offs.</li><li>Develop strong technical leaders within the team.</li><li>Raise the technical and execution bar across the organization.</li></ul>AI-First Engineering<ul><li>Actively use AI tools and agents in your own work.</li><li>Introduce AI-assisted workflows across engineering, specifications, QA, analytics, and operations.</li><li>Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work.</li><li>Use AI to increase engineering velocity and quality.</li><li>Build a team where AI becomes part of the engineering operating model.</li></ul> <ul><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in Bitcoin mining site operations or similar high-density data environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of ASIC miner architecture, firmware, and diagnostics.</li><li>Skilled in electrical and low-voltage systems, cabling, and power distribution.</li><li>Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, monitoring tools).</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematics.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Comfortable working in physically demanding and outdoor
