<p>The Consultant/Senior Consultant provides direct service to a variety of nonprofit clients with critical missions primarily serving the Higher Education, Healthcare, Independent School, and Social & Global Impact Sectors. This position provides strategic advice and hands-on implementation in order to partner with clients to accomplish stated goals and exceed client expectations.</p> <h3>Responsibilities and Duties:</h3> <ul style="list-style-type: initial;"> <li>Commitment to the firm’s core values, its “one firm-firm” brand and Our Why</li> <li>Serving as a model for Graham-Pelton’s “responsible consulting” approach</li> <li>Facilitate key relationships with clients and Graham-Pelton colleagues</li> <li>Facilitate key relationships with colleagues assigned to the project</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in the firm’s technological tools</li> <li>Prepare, develop and deliver materials for client engagement</li> <li>Provide on-site and off-site service to assigned clients</li> <li>Facilitate and lead regular team and client conference calls, meetings and coordinate team’s work</li> <li>Attend and participate in key meetings with clients and prospective clients</li> <li>Organize and drive work of internal project teams, ensuring progress toward project milestones and completion</li> <li>Work with project teams to ensure client-related communication is meeting the firm’s objectives</li> <li>Provide strategic counsel to advance the service engagement</li> <li>Provide critical support of sales activities</li> <li>Spot opportunities for continued service / new engagements, leveraging personal and client referrals </li> </ul> <h3>Required Skills:</h3> <ul style="list-style-type: initial;"> <li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written</li> <li>Exercises emotional intelligence, sound strategic judgment and a certain amount of “grit” to manage client objectives and deliverables</li> <li>Initiative and Ingenuity: leverage resources to solve problems ability to manage multiple competing priorities and employ critical thinking skills</li> <li>Operates with high attention to detail and discipline</li> <li>Ability to be self-directed and a resourceful learner</li> <li>Ability to exert influence over others; commands respect of clients and colleagues</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and industry</li> <li>Ability to thrive on change, innovation, and teamwork</li> <li>Driven by quality of work and high achievement</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications:</h3> <ul style="list-style-type: initial;"> <li>Bachelor’s degree in relevant field</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of previous nonprofit fundraising or development experience in one of Graham-Pelton's primary sectors of Healthcare, Higher Education, Independent Schools, or Social & Global Impact</li> <li>Willingness to travel (driver’s license required)</li> <li>Remote position located in the DC, Maryland or Northern Virginia area<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary Range<br></strong>$85,000 - $110,000</p>
