<p>itD is seeking a <strong>Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer</strong> to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-based software solutions supporting highly regulated production environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in software quality assurance, test automation, and cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-quality software through automated testing and cross-functional collaboration.</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote within the United States. <strong>Candidates must be available to support U.S.-based teams and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as needed.</strong></p> <p><strong>Duration:</strong> 11 months</p> <p>We provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Please note that we are only considering direct W2 candidates at this time, as we are unable to offer sponsorship.</p> <h2>Responsibilities:</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and execute automated test solutions to validate the quality, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Troubleshoot complex software defects using debugging tools, simulations, and custom automation scripts to identify root causes and drive resolution.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.</p> </li> <li> <p>Create and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, test plans, and training materials to support system deployments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Serve as a technical point of contact for issue investigation, providing timely communication and resolution updates to internal stakeholders.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain detailed documentation of software defects, test results, customer requirements, and system interactions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support production environments and respond to critical incidents when required.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Internal Responsibilities:</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Attend regular internal practice community meetings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.</p> </li> <li> <p>Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).</p> </li> <li> <p>Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.</p> </li> <li> <p>Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).</p> </li> <li> <p>Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Required Qualifications and Skills:</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of <strong>7 years</strong> of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum of <strong>2 years</strong> of experience developing automated test solutions using <strong>Python, Go, or similar programming languages</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum of <strong>2 years</strong> of hands-on experience with <strong>Amazon Web Services (AWS)</strong>, including <strong>Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Apache Spark, and AWS Lambda</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience troubleshooting complex software issues using debugging tools, automation, and scripting.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Must be a U.S. citizen currently residing within the contiguous 48 United States</strong> to support regulated cloud environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to participate in a <strong>24x7 on-call rotation</strong> for production incident support.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications and Skills:</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working in regulated cloud environments, including <strong>AWS GovCloud</strong> and FedRAMP-compliant systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with <strong>Docker</strong>, <strong>Apache Kafka</strong>, and other open-source technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with <strong>Jira-Xray</strong> or similar test management platforms.</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of <strong>Test Driven Development (TDD)</strong>, <strong>Continuous Integration (CI)</strong>, and <strong>Continuous Delivery (CD)</strong> practices.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working within <strong>Agile/Scrum</strong> software development environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Background in security software quality assurance, including web or email security solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>Education:</h2> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.</p> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Company Description</strong><br>About itD: We are part of a new generation of consulting and software development company that blends diversity, innovation, and integrity with real business results.
