This role is responsible for strategic national and regional payer account management including Medicare Part D plans, Commercial Plans, State/Managed Medicaid and PBMs in alignment with Corporate Goals. The NAD will be expected to work cross-functionally with various internal business partners including Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Compliance, Contracting and Legal.</div> <div> </div> <div>This role will report to the Vice President, Market Access.</div> <div> </div> <div><b>Principal responsibilities will include:</b></div> <ul> <li>This role will develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including C-Suite staff, Medical Director, Pharmacy Director, Case Management, Clinical/Financial teams and P&T Members to identify respective needs and priorities as well as product opportunities.</li> <li>Cultivate relationships with key institutional stakeholders to influence and integrate care protocols and clinical pathways to address current gaps in care and improve patient outcomes.</li> <li>Develop and execute strategic and tactical account planning to ensure sales/launch initiatives are met. This includes determining product coverage (interim & final), uncovering needs, influencing stakeholders and identifying/mapping out business goals.</li> <li>Execute the Corporate Strategy and leverage the Payer Value Proposition to obtain optimal access/formulary position in target accounts.</li> <li>Identify and address issues proactively to ensure stakeholder alignment and MannKind products are well positioned for formulary and P&T reviews.</li> <li>Achieve optimal market access and achieve access goals by channel and positive formulary coverage in key target accounts.</li> <li>Drive business planning with key stakeholders and ensure disciplined organizational communication to maximize collaboration and execution.</li> <li>High collaboration and alignment with Field Based Teams to maximize pull through efforts.</li> <li>Track and provide marketplace intelligence to corporate management on customer business trends, competitive updates, industry issues and new market opportunities. Serve as a Market Access Medicaid expert with our internal MannKind Business Partners.</li> <li>Exemplify MannKind values while attending professional association meetings and conventions, i.e. ASEMBIA, PCMA, NAMCP or others.</li> <li>Maintain a company enterprise perspective in all decisions.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.</li> </ul> <div><b>Required Expertise Competencies:</b></div> <ul> <li>Minimum of 6 years of successful National Account Management experience</li> <li>Demonstrated recent success working with state Medicaid plans and multi-state Medicaid Pharmaceutical purchasing pools as National Account Manager including current positive working relationships with key decision makers.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business, Marketing or related field</li> <li>Mastery of the Medicaid channel with recent experience gaining new, branded product acceptance with nationwide state FFS Medicaid, managed Medicaid and Medicaid purchasing pools.</li> <li>Ability to leverage HEOR/pharmacoeconomic data to build out the value story to expedite formulary acceptance across the Medicaid landscape</li> <li>History of interfacing with C-Suite and other high-level Payer and Health system executives</li> </ul> <div><b>Required Power Competencies:</b></div> <ul> <li>Teamwork & Leadership: Company role model; builds strong team identity and facilitates internal and external collaborations; actively anticipates and removes obstacles to improve performance and growth.</li> <li>Execution: Consistently makes crisp decisions with big impact in ambiguous circumstances; organizationally directs and drives results with ultimate accountability for those results.</li> <li>Solution Maker: Applies business insights and global perspective in establishing a clear and compelling vision and to advance Company goals; identifies and enables strategic solutions to internal and external challenges; organizationally accountable for solutions; clearly articulates position and motivates others.</li> <li>Continuous Improvement: Commitment to improving organizational effectiveness by maximizing and leveraging personal strengths and helping to develop and motivate others.</li> <li>Awareness: Develops and leverages strengths across organization and plans for limitations; Understands capabilities of the organization and deploys resources in line with capabilities.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div><b>Expectations: </b></div> <ul> <li>Ability to travel up to 50% percent of time</li> </ul> <div>#LI-Remote</div> </div><br>
