Description</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="responsibilities"><p>As a Team Lead, you will make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them.  You will focus on enhancing quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability.</p><p>You will support and lead a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver evidence-based, person-centred positive behaviour support services to participants in the community.</p><p><strong>You need to to be currently living in Queensland or Sydney.</strong></p><p> </p><p>As a Team Lead for Positive Behaviour Support you will:</p><ul><li>undertake the support for your own reduced caseload of participants of all ages by providing exceptional evidence-based, person-centred positive behaviour supports</li><li>identify, provide input, and implement ongoing quality improvement opportunities for service delivery by OCA</li><li>provide leadership that optimises individual potential and supports team members to thrive as clinicians, whilst also working collaboratively with the leadership group to optimise the quality of supports provided</li><li>ensure OCA provides a workplace that is safe, healthy and respectful, along with actively contributing to growing the culture of being a fun, people-focused and the role, the context of PBS and the best ways to support participants</li><li>you will participate in fortnightly learning prepared by Advanced and Specialist practitioners focusing on every aspect of our work, plus have access to our learning library of over 100 resources</li></ul><p> </p><p>Build Your Career:</p><ul><li>you will prepare an individualised Compulsory Professional Development (CPD) plan and Supervision Agreement with your supervisor, to plan out your journey from Proficient to an Advanced practitioner</li><li>you will be supported by your clinical advisor and clinical leadership team to advance in practice specialisation, leadership, case management or any aspect of your work you see as your focus area</li><li>you will be welcome to apply for one of the regular Practitioner at the Proficient or Advanced or Specialist level is essential</li><li>Demonstration of alignment to the company's vision to deliver evidence-based, outcome-focused supports which enable individuals and their significant others to live their best lives</li><li>Developed leadership skills</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to being a team player</li><li>Substantial experience in the provision of positive behaviour supports as recognised by <a href="https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/providers/understanding-behaviour-support-and-restrictive-practices-providers/positive-behaviour">The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework</a></li><li>Ability to demonstrate up-to-date evidence-based clinical skills</li><li>Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving
