<h2><strong>Role Overview</strong></h2><p></p><p>We’re looking for an experienced <strong>Mid-Senior Specialist Web Designer</strong> to partner with N4 Studio on a <strong>freelance / contract basis</strong>, supporting web design projects as they come through the studio.</p><p></p><p>This is a <strong>project-based role, with hours varying depending on available client work and project requirements</strong>. You’ll work closely with our design and development teams to create high-quality, visually led websites and digital experiences for a range of ambitious brands.</p><p></p><p>We’re looking for someone who combines strong creative thinking and art direction with a solid understanding of UX/UI, responsive design and how websites are ultimately built in <strong>Webflow</strong>. With a distributed team across multiple time zones, we move fast, think strategically, and bring A-team energy to everything we do.</p><p></p><p></p><h2><strong>Who You Are</strong></h2><ul><li><p><strong>4+ years of web design experience</strong>, ideally within a <strong>digital agency or studio environment</strong>.</p></li><li><p>A <strong>strong portfolio of high-quality website and digital design work</strong>, demonstrating strong visual craft, art direction and attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience <strong>designing websites for Webflow</strong>, with a clear understanding of the platform and how designs translate into development.</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency in <strong>Figma</strong>, with experience across Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of <strong>UX/UI, responsive design and modern web design principles</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience collaborating closely with developers and other designers to bring digital experiences to life.</p></li><li><p>Confident presenting your thinking, explaining design decisions and responding to client and internal feedback.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working independently across <strong>project-based work, changing deadlines and varying workloads</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and time management skills, particularly when working within a distributed team.</p></li><li><p>Bonus: Experience with <strong>motion and interaction design, HTML/CSS or other low-code tools</strong>.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></h2><ul><li><p>Design <strong>high-quality, visually led websites and digital experiences</strong> aligned with client brands, objectives and audiences.</p></li><li><p>Take projects from early concepts and wireframes through to <strong>polished, development-ready designs in Figma</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Apply strong <strong>art direction, UX/UI and responsive design thinking</strong> across desktop and mobile experiences.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with Webflow developers to ensure designs are practical to build and implemented to a high standard.</p></li><li><p>Present concepts and design thinking to clients, clearly articulate your rationale and refine work based on feedback.</p></li><li><p>Consider <strong>motion, interaction and user experience</strong> as part of the overall design rather than treating pages as static layouts.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a consistently high level of design craft across the projects you support.</p></li><li><p>Work across projects based on client demand, timelines and available project work.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><strong>Global Team</strong></h2><p></p><p>N4 is a global team working across multiple regions and time zones. For this contract work, we’re primarily looking for designers based in <strong>Pacific Time (PT), Eastern Time (ET), or New Zealand Time (NZT)</strong>.
