<div class="trix-content"> <div> <strong>Hospice Physician / Medical Director Designee – Per Diem<br></strong><br> </div><div>We are seeking a <strong>licensed physician (MD/DO) to serve as a Hospice Medical Director Designee</strong> and provide physician coverage as needed.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>Responsibilities may include:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Provide coverage for the Hospice Medical Director when unavailable<br><br> </li> <li>Review and certify hospice eligibility in accordance with Medicare hospice requirements<br><br> </li> <li>Participate in IDG/IDT meetings as needed<br><br> </li> <li>Review and sign certifications/recertifications and other required physician documentation<br><br> </li> <li>Collaborate with the hospice clinical team regarding patient eligibility, plan of care, and symptom management<br><br> </li> <li>Provide physician orders and clinical guidance as appropriate<br><br> </li> <li>Assist with face-to-face encounters when applicable and within the scope of the arrangement<br><br> </li> <li>Maintain timely and compliant documentation<br><br> </li> </ul><div> <strong>Qualifications:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Current, unrestricted California MD or DO license<br><br> </li> <li>Medicare-enrolled and in good standing<br><br> </li> <li>Experience with hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or end-of-life care strongly preferred<br><br> </li> <li>Familiarity with Medicare hospice Conditions of Participation and eligibility requirements preferred<br><br> </li> <li>Reliable and responsive for clinical/documentation needs<br><br> </li> <li>Comfortable working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary hospice team<br><br> </li> </ul><div> <strong>Position:</strong> Per Diem / Independent Coverage<br><strong>Location:</strong> LA & Orange County <br><strong>Compensation: $1,000–$1,500 per month</strong><br><br> </div><div>This is a great opportunity for a physician looking for a flexible hospice role with limited administrative responsibilities while supporting quality end-of-life care.<br><br> </div><div>Interested physicians may submit their CV/resume and availability for consideration.</div> </div> <p>Flexible work from home options available.</p>
