This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact platform and developer experience initiatives at the intersection of identity, cloud services, and emerging AI-enabled workflows.</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Senior Software Engineer </strong>to join our Agile software development team focused on evolving the PingOne Platform Administration space and supporting the development of AI-adjacent platform capabilities such as the PingOne MCP server. In this role, you will be a senior individual contributor helping design, build, test, and deploy scalable services and experiences that make it easier for prospects and customers to explore, adopt, and extend PingOne.</p> <h4>What You Will Do:</h4> <ul> <li>Report to the PingOne Admin Experience engineering director.</li> <li>Serve as a senior individual contributor on the PingOne Platform Administration team.</li> <li>Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, from requirements definition and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.</li> <li>Design and develop backend services and APIs that support the PingOne Platform Administration capabilities.</li> <li>Contribute to the development of AI-related platform tooling, including MCP server capabilities, developer tools, and supporting workflows.</li> <li>Partner closely with product managers, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams across PingOne to deliver high-quality solutions.</li> <li>Help shape technical direction, engineering standards, and system design decisions within the team.</li> <li>Mentor other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and day-to-day collaboration.</li> <li>Support operational excellence by improving observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment safety of team-owned services.</li> </ul> <h4>What You Bring:</h4> <ul> <li>5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience, operating as a senior-level individual contributor on Agile teams.</li> <li>Strong backend software development experience building production-grade services.</li> <li>3+ years of experience developing Java services.</li> <li>Experience developing NodeJS services. </li> <li>Experience with TypeScript is highly desired.</li> <li>Experience in the Identity Management field is highly desired.</li> <li>Experience developing tools and skills for AI models is highly desired.</li> <li>Experience developing MCP servers is highly desired.</li> <li>Experience developing SaaS applications.</li> <li>Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with distributed systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including product management, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.</li> </ul> <h4>Skills valued on this team:</h4> <ul> <li>Strong service-side engineering fundamentals and ability to own features end-to-end.</li> <li>Experience working in small, fast-moving Agile squads with high ownership.</li> <li>Ability to balance near-term delivery with long-term maintainability.</li> <li>Comfort working across backend-heavy projects while collaborating with frontend, QA, product, and platform stakeholders.</li> <li>Some frontend experience, or willingness to contribute outside a narrow backend lane when needed.</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, and shipping safely to production.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment with peers across PingOne platform teams.</li> <li>Interest in platform capabilities, developer experience, and customer-facing admin workflows.</li> </ul> <p>Compensation Range: $110,218–$137,773<br>In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above.
