<p>We’re expanding our data engineering capabilities across <strong>Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru</strong>, and we’re hiring an Associate Director of Accounting to own general ledger accounting processes for P&amp;L for our Clinical Solutions organization.</p> <p>As our new Associate Director of Accounting you will ensure accounting policies are documented and training materials maintained with the ownership of both Treasury and AP functions in addition to General ledger accounting for multiple business units.</p> <p><strong>Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review JE's prepared by the Accounting Manager/Senior accountant as needed. Prepare complex GL entries as required</li> <li>Review AP spend and cash flow forecasts to ensure reasonable and cash flow needs are appropriate. Approve AP invoices for processing and may assist with cash management ACH/wire submission/approvals as needed</li> <li>Review balance sheet account reconciliations for SGA costs across multiple business units including Payroll liabilities, ROU asset/depreciation, Fixed assets/depreciation, intercompany reconciliations, insurance, prepaids etc. May prepare complex account reconciliations as needed</li> <li>Finalize corporate SGA budgets and forecasts on a consolidated basis and determine accurate allocation method to various business units for management review. Provide corporate departments with actual to budget spend analysis commentary (IT/HR/Recruiting etc.) to assist with managing corporate spend</li> <li>Train and mentor staff, ensure process documentation for accounting thresholds/adjustments and new GAAP standards is shared with the business to ensure accurate accounting and understanding of financial reporting. Prepare team training sessions at least bi-annually to develop the team. Continue to identify areas for improvement Integrate new business acquisitions and initiate new projects as needed. Monitor emerging US GAAP standards or practices which may impact operations and reporting. Assist with data gathering and implementation of GAAP standards to be adopted</li> <li>Review Financial results for efficiencies - Establish internal controls to minimize risk of payment errors, duplicate payments or fraud and work with the GL accounting team to implement needed controls</li> <li>Review vendor spend (top 10) and customer spend/aging analysis periodically. Perform assessment of ability to consolidate vendors to improve cost management periodically.</li> <li>Review of customer contracts to ensure consistent application of revenue recognition policies in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606) as needed</li> <li>Review audit support prepared by team prior to providing to external auditors (audit/tax) to ensure appropriate to meet their request. Review and finalize any required accounting memos on policies prior to providing to auditors. Prepare complex audit schedules as needed. Support local statutory audit needs as required. Point person to manage PBC requests and follow up on any audit issues identified</li> <li>Ensure full compliance with local statutory accounting and reporting requirements. Provide oversight for the preparation, review, and submission of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and regulatory timelines<br>Serve as a primary point of contact for the local accounting &amp; tax partners</li> <li>Assist with strategic initiatives of the business as needed (system implementations, integrations, acquisitions etc.)</li> <li>Other job duties as assigned&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Education &amp; Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree with a minimum concentration accounting or finance; Accounting Designation preferred (CPA or local equivalent)</li> <li>A minimum of 12+ years relevant experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Education &amp; Experience (optional):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Computerized Ledger System experience (e.g. Infor)</li> </ul> <p>Or equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.</p> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven critical thinking, analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Detail-oriented professional with ability to handle complex reporting while meeting company deadlines, sometimes with short turnaround times and competing priorities</li> <li>Ability to process and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information</li> <li>Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and accounting best practices, including a knowledge of US and international accounting standards</li> <li>Meaningful experience partnering with executive leadership</li> <li>Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with local teams, auditors, and regulatory authorities</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and an ability to build credibility with external and internal stakeholders</li> <li>Professional that thrives in a dynamic, past pace, high growth environment</li> <li>Willingness to extend yourself and assist/mentor other more junior team members.
