<p>Description</p><h2>Territory: North Los Angeles area (CA)</h2><h2>Position Summary</h2><p>The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the sale in their respective territories of the Company’s products and reach internal sales goals. They are also responsible for building positive relationships with practitioners and staff. This position will also contribute to developing and implementing sales strategies aligned with Company positioning and messaging.</p><p><br/></p><h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Achieving capital equipment quota for the assigned territory</li><li>Applying professional and ethical sales techniques to close sales in assigned territory</li><li>Acquiring product knowledge through product training and competitive analysis</li><li>Creating awareness and demand for the company’s products</li><li>Identifying prospective customers by following leads from existing customers, and participating in company activities</li><li>Engaging prospective customers, on a daily basis, both in person and through other methods (text, phone calls, email, video calls, in-person visits, etc.), providing technical and administrative product information, quoting appropriate customer prices and closing deals</li><li>Maintaining all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations</li><li>Maintaining communications with internal personnel to ensure efforts are in line with objectives</li><li>Monitoring and sharing as appropriate market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales trends</li><li>Negotiating details of contracts and payments within Company policies and Guidelines</li><li>Supporting customer success after sales or contract execution to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support</li><li>Coordinating with Sofwave Marketing to promote products and services via events, dinners, etc.</li><li>Performing other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><br/></p><p>Requirements</p><h2>Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)</h2><p><br/></p><ul><li>Requires travel of up to 35%</li><li>5+ years of overall B2B sales experience</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, business or related field preferred</li><li>Ability to build strong customer relationships</li><li>Successful, documented sales track record required</li><li>Self-starter and disciplined to cover assigned sales territory thoroughly through both cold-calling and lead prospecting activities</li><li>Confident and skilled to develop new customers</li><li>Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills to be able to articulate with understanding the Company’s technology and unique value proposition</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to sell a novel product with unique competitive advantages communicate and motivate customers to purchase</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Physical Demands and Work Environment&nbsp;</h2><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee must be able to travel to and from customer sites, sometimes on short or no notice, and occasionally within tight timeframes. Thus, having ready access to a reliable personal vehicle, possessing a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance, are required and employees must be able to provide Sofwave proof of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of automobile insurance upon request.
