This role will focus primarily on modern Microsoft-based application development, including .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure cloud services, and responsive web technologies in a cloud first architecture.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can work closely with business stakeholders, technology team members, and leadership to understand business needs and deliver practical, maintainable software solutions. This role requires strong technical judgment, a security-first mindset, and the ability to contribute across the full application development lifecycle from requirements and design through deployment and ongoing support.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Design, develop, test, deploy, and support secure enterprise web applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.&nbsp;</li><li>Build and maintain internal and external-facing APIs that support business processes, system integrations, and application functionality.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop application solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Blazor, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks where appropriate.&nbsp;</li><li>Design or assist in designing and implementing efficient Microsoft SQL Server database objects needed to support application functionality, including tables, views, stored procedures, and queries.&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with business users, product owners, analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Build cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services, patterns, and best practices (Functions, Logic Apps, etc.).&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to decisions around performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.&nbsp;</li><li>Support application authentication, authorization, and identity management using modern security practices such as OpenID Connect, OAuth, Azure AD, or Azure B2C.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems, external platforms, and third-party services.&nbsp;</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that aligns with team standards and secure development practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in code reviews, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement of development processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Use source control, DevOps pipelines, and deployment tools to support reliable and repeatable software delivery.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with the Application Development team to modernize legacy applications, improve system performance, and reduce technical debt.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a strong focus on protecting sensitive business, client, member, and healthcare-related information.&nbsp;</li><li>Stay current with modern application development practices, Microsoft cloud technologies, and emerging tools that can improve software delivery.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in application development, software engineering, or a similar technical role.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong experience developing applications with C# and the Microsoft .NET platform.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience building secure web applications and APIs for internal and external users.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, and designing application-supporting database structures.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Blazor, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure or another cloud environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and related platform services.&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, data protection, logging, and error handling.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with RESTful API design and system integration concepts.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with source control and DevOps tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or similar platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and identify practical solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently, collaboratively in a team setting, or remotely as business needs require.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong commitment to quality, security, accountability, and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Experience with healthcare, pharmacy benefit management, claims processing, or other regulated business environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, PII, or similar data protection requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with mobile application development that securely interfaces with public APIs.</li><li>Experience designing responsive or mobile-friendly web applications.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with AI accelerated development using tools such as Claude Code, Devin, or Windsurf.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating applications to cloud-native platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with automated testing, unit testing, integration testing, or test-driven development.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with containerization, microservices, or cloud-native design patterns.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working in Agile or iterative software development environments.&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with application monitoring, logging, and performance tuning tools.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br/></p>
