Our mission is to change that: to unlock confident growth for millions of businesses and empower them to see what's possible.</p><p>The bar is high, the mission ambitious, the work as rewarding as it is hard, and we're just getting started.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>As a Senior Bookkeeper based in the Philippines, you will be responsible for the quality, accuracy and completeness of the books for a group of US clients within your team. You will also be the main person those clients talk to about their bookkeeping.</p><p>At Visory, AI agents handle part of the day-to-day bookkeeping work, so you can spend your time on what matters most: reviewing the work, solving the difficult cases and making sure everything is right before it reaches the client. Your judgment is what makes the difference.</p><p>You don't need AI experience, but you do need a willingness to learn. We are looking for people with deep US bookkeeping knowledge who are curious about working with AI and want to join a growing company changing the industry.</p><p><strong>How it differs from other Bookkeeping Roles</strong></p><ul><li><p>Less repetitive work, more meaningful work. Your expertise helps improve the work for every Visory client, not just your own.</p></li></ul><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Own the quality of the books</p><ul><li><p>Make sure bookkeeping work is accurate, complete and on time for your clients. This includes accounts payable, transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts receivable, month-end close, sales tax tracking and filings, 1099 preparation and the fixed-asset register</p></li></ul><p>Handle the difficult cases</p><ul><li><p>Take on tasks that are complex or unclear, where the AI agents cannot reach a confident answer</p></li></ul><p>Help the agents improve</p><ul><li><p>After each workflow, record any errors, corrections and changes in a simple, structured format so the agents get better over time</p></li><li><p>Look out for repeated problems across clients and raise them with your Manager and the product team</p></li><li><p>Work with the product team to test improvements and help set quality standards</p></li></ul><p>Improve how we work</p><ul><li><p>Suggest and make improvements to system settings (QuickBooks Online, Xero and other apps) and to how clients send us information, so that work runs smoothly</p></li></ul><p>Communicate with clients</p><ul><li><p>Be the main contact for day-to-day bookkeeping questions from US business owners and finance leads</p></li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>Bookkeeping experience (required)</p><ul><li><p>7+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including at least 3 years working directly on US clients, with exposure to multi-currency, inventory/COGS and complex reconciliations</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of US GAAP fundamentals, cash and accrual accounting, multi-state sales tax, 1099 reporting, payroll journals and month-end close</p></li><li><p>Advanced QuickBooks Online skills (QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified or equivalent), plus working knowledge of Xero and Dext</p></li><li><p>Experience working with Shopify, Gusto, <a target="_blank" href="http://Bill.com">Bill.com</a>, Stripe and other payment gateway integrations</p></li></ul><p>Working with US clients</p><ul><li><p>Availability to work hours that overlap with the US business day</p></li><li><p>Excellent spoken and written English, with confidence leading conversations with US business owners</p></li></ul><p>Attitude toward AI</p><ul><li><p>You are open to working with an AI agent as a teammate: you check its work and give clear feedback</p></li><li><p>You can explain mistakes and unusual cases clearly so that others can learn from them</p></li></ul><p>Communication</p><ul><li><p>Clear written communication, especially in online, platform-based conversations</p></li><li><p>Ability to explain accounting to business owners who are not finance experts</p></li></ul><p>Judgment and responsibility</p><ul><li><p>Confidence making decisions on unclear accounting matters, and the knowledge to explain your reasoning</p></li><li><p>Personal responsibility for every client file</p></li><li><p>Good judgment on when to escalate or ask for a second opinion</p></li><li><p>A strong commitment to quality</p></li></ul><p><strong>Our Culture</strong></p><p>We value people who are gritty, humble, optimistic and curious.
