We are seeking a Database Developer/DBA to focus on developing and administering ETL pipelines from disparate data sources, database objects, and various SQL Server jobs and procedures. All team members are expected to uphold these values when performing their jobs, assisting other team members, and helping customers.</p><p>ROLE SUMMARY:</p><p>The Database Developer/DBA has the primary goal of developing and maintaining database and ETL servers, objects, data, and processes. The Database Developer/DBA builds SSIS packages to pull data from other SQL databases and from other sources and files, creates and manages SQL Server Agent jobs and schedules, plans and operates SQL Server backup and recovery, and supports existing data operations. The Database Developer/DBA reports directly to the Enterprise Project Management Office and Business Intelligence Manager and will be part of the Campers Inn IT Team.</p><p>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Manage and administer all SQL Server instances, databases, objects, data, pipelines, and processes across our on-premises and Azure environments</li><li>Create and maintain ETL pipelines moving data from disparate sources (dealer management, CRM, HR/payroll, financial planning, and vendor data feeds) into SQL Server databases using SSIS and SQL Agent jobs, with growing use of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory</li><li>Build automation tools, flows, and processes to manage data between source files and databases using PowerShell, Python, and other scripting tools</li><li>Develop and support multiple application and reporting databases, including our enterprise data warehouse</li><li>Optimize performance of queries, stored procedures, views, and reporting datasets through indexing, execution plan analysis, and T-SQL tuning</li><li>Plan, schedule, and monitor database backups, and regularly test restores to meet recovery objectives</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including index and statistics maintenance, integrity checks, and capacity monitoring</li><li>Manage database security, logins, roles, and permissions following least-privilege principles</li><li>Coordinate SQL Server patching, upgrades, and high-availability/disaster recovery with our managed service provider</li><li>Consult with various teams on data architecture best practices and schema design in SQL databases</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and implement fixes and updates to existing custom-built database and ETL objects, and provide Tier 2 and 3 expert support on database- and ETL-related support tickets</li><li>Contribute to the completion of projects and tasks for various business departments</li><li>Document database and ETL details, including schedules, error handling, monitoring, and common failures</li><li>Maintain database objects and ETL code in source control (Git)</li></ul><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>&ldquo;Get it done&rdquo; team-player attitude</li><li>Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours as required, which may include evenings and weekends</li><li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as on a team</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision</li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail</li></ul><p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>3+ years of SQL Server database development experience, including advanced T-SQL, required</li><li>3+ years of ETL development and administration experience (SSIS or similar) required</li><li>Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint experience required</li><li>Microsoft Azure cloud-based server and database experience required</li><li>Microsoft Power BI experience required</li><li>Microsoft Power Apps experience preferred</li><li>Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory experience preferred</li><li>Python and PowerShell scripting experience preferred</li><li>Experience with Power BI semantic models and DAX preferred</li><li>RV or Auto industry experience preferred</li></ul><p>TOOLS AND SOFTWARE USED:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Studio, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory</li><li>Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps and Power BI</li><li>PowerShell, Python, and Git</li><li>MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook</li><li>Standard office equipment, including computer and phone</li><li>ClickUp Project Management Software</li><li>Other software as applicable</li></ul><p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Based in Jacksonville, FL OR Remote position</li><li>Sedentary, works primarily in a climate-controlled environment</li><li>Requires continuous visual ability for use of computer, files and reports</li></ul><p>TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li>Ability to sit for long periods of time</li></ul><p>Campers Inn RV is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free workplace.
