<p>Description</p><p><strong>Location: Florida (Remote with field presence as required)</strong></p><p><strong>Reports To: Regional Operations Leader</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>ARCXIS is seeking a Florida-licensed Building Code Administrator (BCA) to oversee building code compliance activities associated with the Florida Building Code and the company’s Private Provider inspection and plan review services</p><p>This role provides technical leadership, regulatory oversight, and quality assurance for inspection and plan review operations conducted under Florida Statute 553.791 (Private Provider Services) . The Building Code Administrator ensures all ARCXIS services are performed in compliance with the Florida Building Code, local jurisdictional requirements, and state licensing regulations.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a licensed Florida Building Code Administrator with strong experience in construction inspections, plan review, and regulatory coordination , capable of supporting a rapidly growing private provider platform.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Regulatory Oversight</p><ul><li>Serve as the licensed Building Code Administrator of record for ARCXIS Florida operations where required.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code (FBC) and related statutes including FS 468 and FS 553.791 .</li><li>Maintain oversight of ARCXIS plan review and inspection services conducted as a Private Provider .</li><li>Ensure proper certification and licensing compliance for inspectors and plans examiners.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Technical Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Provide expert interpretation of the Florida Building Code, energy code, accessibility standards, and related regulations .</li><li>Review complex plans, code interpretations, and technical compliance issues.</li><li>Provide technical support and mentorship to ARCXIS inspectors and plans examiners.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Operational Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Establish and maintain quality control standards for inspections and plan reviews .</li><li>Oversee documentation, reporting, and compliance with jurisdictional submission requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams including:</li><li>Private Provider operations</li><li>Engineering</li><li>Builder services</li><li>Inspection teams</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Jurisdictional Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as a primary liaison with local building departments and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) .</li><li>Support resolution of code disputes or interpretation questions.</li><li>Maintain strong professional relationships with municipal and county regulators.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Program Development</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in scaling ARCXIS’s Florida Private Provider platform .</li><li>Support development of standardized procedures and SOPs for Florida operations.</li><li>Contribute to training programs for inspectors and code professionals.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Active Florida Building Code Administrator License issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) .</li><li>Certification under Florida Statute Chapter 468, Part XII .</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspections, plans examination, or code administration.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of:</li></ul><p>o Florida Building Code</p><p>o Private Provider statutes (FS 553.791)</p><p>o Construction permitting and inspection processes</p><ul><li>· Experience working with municipal building departments or private provider services .</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Additional Florida certifications such as:</li><li>Building Plans Examiner</li><li>Building Inspector</li><li>Residential Inspector</li><li>Experience supporting large-scale residential construction programs .</li><li>Background working with production homebuilders .</li><li>Leadership experience supervising inspectors or plans examiners.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Expert code interpretation</li><li>Regulatory compliance management</li><li>Construction and permitting processes</li><li>Stakeholder communication</li><li>Quality assurance and operational oversight</li><li>Problem solving and technical analysis</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Physical / Work Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to travel within Florida as needed.</li><li>Occasional site visits to active construction projects.</li><li>Ability to review plans and inspection documentation in both digital and field environments.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Why Join ARCXIS</strong></p><p>ARCXIS is a national leader in builder services, inspection, engineering, and code compliance , serving production homebuilders across the United States.
