We move quickly, work efficiently, and enjoy an environment defined by competence.</p><p></p><p>Role Overview</p><p>The Director of Product Development owns the end-to-end development of Blueprint products across functional foods, sports nutrition, and dietary supplements. This role translates strategy into finished product - driving concept, formulation, validation, and commercialization with full accountability for quality, timelines, and outcomes. You will lead cross-functional execution and ensure every product meets Blueprint’s standards: scientifically defensible, operationally scalable, and commercially differentiated.<br /><br />This is an opportunity to work alongside a world-class R&amp;D team to build products that scale to millions and shape the future of the supplement industry.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Location: Typically remote unless for specific reason.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Own the full product lifecycle from concept → development → launch → post-market optimization. Success in this role is defined by the quality of the products you build and the scale they achieve.</li><li>Define ingredient strategy, dosing, and differentiation in partnership with R&amp;D</li><li>Drive cross-functional execution across R&amp;D, Quality, Ops, Regulatory, and Marketing</li><li>Partner with Ops on co-manufacturer selection, scale-up, pilot runs, and commercialization</li><li>Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners; assess feasibility, timelines, and risks</li><li>Ensure scientific rigor across formulation, claims, and product positioning</li></ul><p> </p><p>Basic Qualifications:</p><ul><li>10+ years in product development (supplements, functional foods, or adjacent categories)</li><li>Proven track record of taking products from concept to commercial launch</li><li>Experience working with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and supply chain systems</li><li>Strong understanding of formulation, ingredient sourcing, and manufacturing constraints</li><li>Strong experience with regulatory frameworks (FDA, Prop 65, international compliance)</li></ul><p><br />Preferred Skills:</p><ul><li>Experience scaling multiple SKUs in a high-growth environment</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with SFP/NFP development and labeling tools</li><li>Experience working with COAs, spec sheets, and quality systems</li><li>Background in evidence-based formulation and claims substantiation</li><li>Experience building or improving product development systems/processes</li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $175k - $200k + equity + benefits</p>
