<p>Description</p><p><strong>Work from Home (WFH)- </strong><em><u><strong>Remote work must be performed while residing in California or New Mexico</strong></u></em></p><p><strong>CIAT Campus Locations:</strong> San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NM</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> VP of Education</p><p><strong>Division:</strong> Healthcare</p><p><strong>Status:</strong> Exempt</p><p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time</p><p>Reporting to the VP of Education, this role serves as a member of the management team. The Dean of Education will be responsible for administrative, curriculum, mentoring tasks, and teaching responsibilities with an emphasis on overall program success. The Dean of Education will handle a variety of strategic tasks, including departmental and company goals.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Management Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct hiring, onboarding, and on-going training and of faculty of specific programs as assigned</li><li>Develop and manage the Healthcare program(s) including foster cohesiveness between instructors, encourage instructor feedback to improve training programs, and promote the exchange of ideas, concepts, and teaching techniques that are specific to individual training programs</li><li>Be a mentor to new instructors assigned to the Healthcare program(s)</li><li>Conduct planning and evaluating departmental activities</li><li>Review and follow up with instructor and programmatic surveys and assessments while analyzing and sharing this data with faculty and staff</li><li>Accomplish departmental objectives by managing assigned instructors</li><li>Provide growth opportunities and maintain a motivated and professional team by assisting with recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, and training employees</li><li>Coach and counsel employees in partnership with HR and the VP of Education</li><li>Ensure a safe, secure, and ethical work environment</li><li>Manage and enforce timekeeping policies to ensure accuracy and timely process of employee’s timecards</li><li>Maintain quality service by enforcing customer service standards, analyzing, and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending improvements</li><li>Embody CIAT’s mission, vision, purpose and values</li><li>Must support and be a champion to the goals of the department</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Program Success</strong></p><p><strong>Responsible for the overall success of the Healthcare program(s) including:</strong></p><ul><li>Graduation and placement rates</li><li>Program retention rates</li><li>Certification take and pass rates</li><li>Maintain compliance with accreditation related to instruction and the quality of education</li><li>Responsible for analyzing and developing new metrics for programs, as needed</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct formal and informal classroom observations and plan on-going faculty development/training</li><li>Work with the VP of Education to develop and revise programs to continually enhance quality of education and to maintain consistency with CIAT’s mission and goals</li><li>Process timely, accurate, fair, without bias, performance reviews. Conduct timecard review to ensure that all time submitted by instructors is accurate</li></ul><p><strong>Curriculum Development Tasks</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for the creation and application of curriculum making sure it meets academic and industry standards</li><li>Maintain currency of curriculum, syllabi, textbooks, and Canvas</li><li>Review training material/deliverables and provide recommendations on the accuracy of and relevancy of content of curriculum</li><li>Responsible for the selection and development of instructional materials in accordance with course objectives</li></ul><p><strong>Teaching Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Available to teach live online and asynchronously</li><li>Available to provide coverage when needed</li><li>Current certification(s) in subjects taught if applicable</li><li>Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize online student learning and engagement</li><li>Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs</li><li>Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students</li><li>Stay current in their subject matter through professional development, through involvement in professional organizations, and attending professional meetings, conferences, or workshops</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Master’s degree preferred</li><li>Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Healthcare Management and/or Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Organizational Management or related Healthcare Management fields</li><li>3-4 years of management experience, ideally in a higher education setting</li><li>At least 2 years of teaching experience</li><li>Preferred Industry Certifications not limited to National Certified Medical Office Assistant (NCMOA), Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)</li><li>Curriculum development experience required</li><li>Advanced subject matter expertise preferred</li><li>Canvas experience preferred</li><li>Able to work a 40-hour plus workweek, if needed, depending on schedule and coverage</li><li>Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, and timeliness of results</li><li>Able to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality</li><li>Possess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to others</li><li>Demonstrated ability anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment</li><li>Excellent analytical skills, problem resolution skills and general business acumen</li><li>Must have a focus in data and metrics in decision making, monitoring and managing priorities</li><li>Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as learning technologies such as Canvas and Microsoft Teams</li><li>Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment</li><li>Detail oriented, outstanding research and analytical skills</li><li>Problem solve rapidly and effectively, in a timely manner</li><li>Ability and organization to multitask</li><li>Works with a sense of urgency, while engaging and listening to coworkers from other departments</li><li>Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate business needs and deadlines</li><li>Reliable transportation to go on campus, attend seminars/trainings, if required</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success, achieve institutional goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture</li><li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that respects the diversity of students' backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives</li><li>Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students</li><li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and others</li><li>Compliance with all college policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and instructional delivery</li><li>Must be able to embody CIAT’s mission, vision, purpose and values</li></ul><p><strong>Position Type and Expected Hours of Work</strong></p><p>This is a full-time position. However, the expected starting salary for this position is $110,000- $130,000/yearly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, experience, equity and other business and organizational needs.</p><p>#ZR</p>
