This role is ideal for an engineer who is comfortable building features across the frontend and backend, collaborates well with senior engineers and cross-functional partners, and is eager to use AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and delivery.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, .NET Core, and modern software engineering practices, and is interested in applying AI tools thoughtfully throughout the development lifecycle while maintaining strong engineering judgment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript, following established design patterns and frontend best practices.</li> <li>Build and maintain application features across the full stack, with emphasis on backend development using .NET Core and frontend integration in Angular.</li> <li>Implement backend functionality using established architectural patterns such as CQRS, MediatR, and Onion Architecture under the guidance of senior engineers.</li> <li>Create, consume, and maintain GraphQL APIs, including working with schemas, resolvers, and efficient client-side data access patterns.</li> <li>Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs, including client-side integration and resolver-level concepts (like VanillaCream Libraries).</li> <li>Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, test creation, documentation, refactoring, and technical research while validating generated outputs carefully.</li> <li>Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and senior engineering team members to deliver user-centered features with attention to quality, usability, and maintainability.</li> <li>Write clean, testable, maintainable code aligned with SOLID principles and team coding standards.</li> <li>Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests that support reliable delivery through CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Participate actively in code reviews by incorporating feedback, identifying potential issues, and contributing constructive suggestions.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify code, improve test coverage, and streamline development workflows.</li> <li>Participate in Agile ceremonies and use Jira for task tracking, sprint planning, and delivery visibility.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering roles.</li> <li>Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript for frontend development.</li> <li>Strong experience with .NET Core and C# for backend application development.</li> <li>Working knowledge of CQRS, MediatR, Onion Architecture, or similar clean architecture patterns.</li> <li>Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server, including writing queries, working with schemas, and basic performance considerations.</li> <li>Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs, including client-side integration and resolver-level concepts.</li> <li>Proficient with GitHub for source control, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins.</li> <li>Strong advocate for clean, testable code and automated testing practices across the development lifecycle.</li> <li>Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.</li> <li>Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and alignment with team standards.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in the mortgage industry, particularly loan originations, servicing, or related financial workflows.</li> <li>Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, data privacy, or audit considerations in financial services.</li> <li>Experience using AI tools to generate test cases, improve documentation, analyze legacy code, or support refactoring efforts.</li> <li>Exposure to secure coding practices and responsible AI usage in enterprise software development.</li> <li>Interest in improving developer workflows through automation, AI-assisted tooling, and better engineering practices.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Cascade &amp; Our Culture:</strong></p> <p>Since opening our doors in 1999, Cascade Financial Services has grown to become one of the most trusted lenders in Attainable Housing.
