As an individual contributor working within a team, the Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate record keeping of timesheets and perform a variety of payroll tasks. The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, and have the ability to collaborate with others and provide excellent customer service.</div> <div> </div> <div><b>Job Type:</b> Remote </div> <div><b>Pay Range</b>: $25-$27</div> <div> </div> <div><b>Duties/Responsibilities:</b></div> <ul> <li>Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll and ERP systems; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information</li> <li>Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions</li> <li>Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to unexpected events and employment separations</li> <li>Ensures timesheets are accurate with respect to overtime and entry allocation</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <div><b>Required Qualifications:</b></div> <ul> <li>Previous experience processing payroll for organizations with 500+ employees</li> <li>Experience with Paycor, or similar HR/Payroll systems</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (with advanced MS Excel)</li> <li>Ability to work overtime, especially during payroll weeks (every other week)</li> <li>Proficient with, or the ability to quickly learn, payroll and ERP software</li> <li>Knowledge of overtime laws (state-specific and federal)</li> <li>Experience with CA wage and hour regulations</li> <li>Experience managing multi-state tax jurisdictions and reciprocity agreements to ensure accurate payroll withholding.</li> </ul> <div><b>Preferred:</b></div> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree</li> <li>Experience in the A/E/C industry</li> <li>Experience with Sage Intacct</li> <li>Experience with implementation of larger HRIS/HCM/Payroll systems such as UKG and Workday</li> <li>Experience with international payroll</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Experience with SCA contract administration and prevailing wage laws.</li> </ul> </div> <div> <br> <b>Additional Information   </b><br>   <div><i>Chronicle Heritage is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
