<p>Core-VA Solutions is hiring experienced Billing professionals to support growing service providers across the United States.</p><p>We currently have two open Billing Specialist roles, each supporting a different US-based client. Review the openings below and apply for the one that best fits your background and experience.</p><p>All roles are fully remote, full-time, and require availability during US business hours (CST).</p><p></p><p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES — ALL ROLES</p><p>Claims & Billing Management</p><ul><li>Submit and manage claims through the state claim portal</li><li>Verify eligibility prior to billing</li><li>Review service documentation and authorizations before claim submission</li><li>Review service logs and match them against claim data to ensure accuracy, correct units, proper modifiers, and full compliance</li><li>Validate place of service and billing details against supporting documentation</li><li>Monitor claim status, denials, and resubmissions</li><li>Maintain accurate billing trackers and reconciliation sheets</li></ul><p>Finance & Reporting</p><ul><li>Prepare and submit financial and billing reports to clients</li><li>Assist with invoice tracking and payment reconciliation</li><li>Experience preparing financial or billing reports for US clients</li><li>Proficient in Excel (tracking, reconciliation, reporting)</li></ul><p>Compliance & Documentation</p><ul><li>Ensure all claims meet state billing requirements and documentation standards</li><li>Assist with form submissions related to service authorizations or renewals to ensure continuity of care</li><li>Validate billing compliance and documentation standards at every stage</li></ul><p>Client & Administrative Support</p><ul><li>Communicate with clients via email and phone regarding billing matters</li><li>Provide general administrative support related to billing operations</li></ul><p></p><p>OPEN ROLES — PLEASE SELECT ONE WHEN APPLYING</p><p>Role 1 — Billing Specialist (Remote)</p><p>You will manage end-to-end Medicaid billing operations for a US-based healthcare client. This role is ideal for someone with strong claims experience, a sharp eye for compliance, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.</p><p>Additional responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Own the full billing cycle from claim submission to reconciliation</li><li>Identify and resolve claim denials and resubmissions independently</li><li>Maintain accurate records and trackers with minimal supervision</li><li>Flag billing discrepancies and compliance gaps proactively</li></ul><p>Additional requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in Medicaid billing</li><li>Hands-on experience using a Medicaid claim portal</li><li>Strong understanding of billing compliance and documentation validation</li><li>Experience reviewing service logs against submitted claims</li><li>Proficient in professional email communication and phone systems</li><li>Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks is a plus</li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling audits and claim corrections</li><li>Experience working remotely with US healthcare clients preferred</li></ul><p></p><p>Role 2 — Billing Specialist — Spanish Speaking (Remote) (ASAP onboarding — priority hire)</p><p>Same core billing responsibilities as Role 1, with the addition of direct communication with Spanish-speaking clients and staff. This is an urgent hire — candidates who can start immediately will be prioritized.</p><p>Additional responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and staff via email and phone regarding billing matters</li><li>Translate or relay billing information accurately between English and Spanish</li><li>Support Spanish-speaking clients through the billing and authorization process</li><li>Document all client communications in English for internal records</li></ul><p>Additional requirements:</p><ul><li>All requirements from Role 1 apply</li><li>Conversational in both English and Spanish — spoken and written</li><li>Prior experience in a bilingual client-facing role preferred</li><li>Able to onboard immediately or within 1 week of offer</li></ul> <p>Education:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred (not required)</li></ul><p>Experience & Skills:</p><ul><li>At least 2–4 years of experience in Medicaid billing or a similar remote billing role</li><li>Hands-on experience submitting and managing claims through a state billing portal</li><li>Solid understanding of billing compliance, documentation validation, and claim corrections</li><li>Experience with service authorization forms and continuity of care documentation</li><li>Strong attention to detail — especially when matching service logs against claim data</li><li>Ability to manage billing workload independently without close supervision</li><li>Good written and verbal English communication skills</li><li>Professional handling of confidential client and financial information</li></ul><p>Tools:</p><ul><li>Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365</li><li>Proficient in Excel for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus</li><li>Comfortable with video communication tools (Zoom, Google Meet, or similar)</li></ul><p>Setup & Availability:</p><ul><li>Available during US business hours </li><li>Able to start asap</li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p><ul><li>Starting rate: $7/hour (based on experience and qualifications)</li><li>100% remote / work-from-home setup</li><li>Paid time off (PTO)</li><li>US public holidays observed</li><li>Training and support system to help you build confidence and work independently</li><li>A collaborative, respectful work environment — we value trust, autonomy, and open communication</li><li>Long-term opportunity with a stable and growing agency</li></ul>
