<h2>Overview</h2> <p>DecisionPoint seeks a <strong>Software Product Management Lead</strong> to drive product vision, roadmap development, user story definition, and stakeholder engagement for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role leads the end-to-end product lifecycle, aligning user needs, mission objectives, and technical capabilities into a cohesive and actionable product strategy. </p> <p>The Software Product Management Lead partners with engineering teams, UX specialists, PMO leadership, and mission stakeholders to prioritize features, refine requirements, manage backlogs, and ensure product releases deliver measurable value. </p> <p><em>This position is fully remote. </em></p> <h2>Duties & Responsibilities</h2> <p>The Software Product Management Lead will: </p> <ul> <li>Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with mission and user needs. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Lead backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and user story refinement. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature descriptions. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, UX, QA, security, and operations teams. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Manage product lifecycles from concept through delivery and iterative improvement. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Analyze user feedback, operational metrics, and mission needs to adjust product priorities. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure product decisions are data-driven and aligned with enterprise objectives. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Support release planning, roadmap presentations, and executive-level product briefings. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Maintain product documentation, decision logs, and feature tracking artifacts. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across product teams. </li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <p><strong>Clearance Requirement</strong> </p> <p>Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education (Required)</strong> </p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience (Required)</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Minimum <strong>10 years</strong> of experience in product management, software development leadership, or Agile delivery roles. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, and user-focused features. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience working with Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience collaborating with technical teams to translate user needs into actionable stories. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience supporting product management in federal or enterprise environments preferred. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Technical Knowledge (Required)</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of Agile product delivery, backlog management, and sprint planning. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Knowledge of software development processes, technical requirements, and system dependencies. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Familiarity with ITIL practices and their alignment with product operations. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Understanding of user experience considerations and mission-driven feature prioritization. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Knowledge (Preferred)</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Familiarity with data-driven decision-making frameworks for product prioritization. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Certifications</strong> </p> <p><strong>Required:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>ITIL v4 Foundation </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Additional product management or Agile leadership certifications </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Skills</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and facilitation skills with technical and non-technical audiences. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and prioritization abilities. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ability to lead product direction in a fast-paced mission environment. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2>Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy</h2> <ul> <li><strong>EEO and Affirmative Action Policy:</strong> DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
