Working on the Windows Functional Team, you'll build secure, privacy-focused applications for Microsoft Windows, using C#/.NET 8, WPF, WebView2, Git and Visual Studio, and work on related projects. Recent projects include:</p><ul><li><p>Start-up boost for our Windows browser</p></li><li><p>Bookmark and login exporting</p></li></ul><p></p><p>As a <strong>Senior Software Engineer, Windows Desktop App,</strong> you'll collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers across Native Apps teams to craft a world-class browser with embedded privacy and data protection features that will revolutionize the way people search, surf, and exist online.</p><p></p><p>In addition to being responsible for building solutions to get us closer to our first release, you'll help define the roadmap, take ownership of significant application features, and experiment with ways to improve them. The projects you deliver will build the foundation of one of DuckDuckGo's flagship products. </p><p></p><h1><strong>About You </strong></h1><ul><li><p>Experience implementing ideas from scratch, owning major application features, and owning their maintenance and improvement over time.</p></li><li><p>Experience participating in technical architecture decisions that shape the software architecture of a consumer product.</p></li><li><p>Advanced level of programming expertise, with knowledge of C#. We currently use .NET 8.</p></li><li><p>A significant level of experience in building customer-facing applications and crafting user interfaces (including at least one desktop application), ideally with WPF, UWP, WinUI, WinForms, or other relevant .NET UI.</p></li><li><p>Deep understanding of software design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, etc.</p></li><li><p>Event-driven programming (e.g., using Rx.NET) experience is considered an advantage.</p></li></ul><p></p><h1><strong>Compensation</strong></h1><p><strong>$</strong><em><strong>178,500</strong></em> <strong>USD annually</strong> and stock options. Compensation is <a href="https://duckduckgo.com/how-we-work" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">identical within professional levels</a>, regardless of geographic location or team.
