Reporting to the VP, Accounting, you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations while resolving complex accounting issues tied to novel digital asset products.</p> <p>In this role, you aren’t just maintaining books - you are building a definitive 'source of truth' within a complex, high-velocity trading environment. This is a 50/50 split between serving as a high-level technical expert and a hands-on 'systems plumber,' bridging the gap between cutting-edge trading desks and institutional-grade, public-ready financial statements.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Financial Normalization:</strong> Direct the forensic review and reconciliation of complex historical data to ensure a robust, "audit-ready" foundation.</li> <li><strong>On-Chain Intelligence:</strong> Bridge the gap between raw custodial data and GAAP reporting, ensuring every transaction is traceable to its original source.</li> <li><strong>Advanced Technical Research:</strong> Act as the internal authority on ASC 606 and 805, specifically regarding principal vs. agent nuances, M&A integrations, and DeFi yield protocols.</li> <li><strong>Capital Markets Readiness:</strong> Lead the drafting of sophisticated financial disclosures and MD&A for potential registration statements and SEC engagement. Lead the drafting of S-1/F-1 prospectus disclosures.</li> <li><strong>Global Systems Optimization:</strong> Design and implement SOPs for offshore teams while tightening the integration between our crypto sub-ledgers and NetSuite.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Target Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Background:</strong> Experience transitioning from Big 4 Audit/Technical Desks into Accounting Advisory (e.g., CFGI, FTI, EY, KPMG, FTI) or In-House Accounting at a high-growth digital assets firm, FinTech start up, broker dealer or Investment Bank.</li> <li><strong>Reconstructive Mindset:</strong> You enjoy the "puzzle" of <strong>building legal entity financials</strong> from high-volume, unstructured data sources.</li> <li><strong>Technical Stack:</strong> Proficiency in <strong>Workiva</strong>, <strong>NetSuite</strong>, and crypto sub-ledgers (Luca, TaxBit, or BitWave).</li> <li><strong>Subject Matter Expertise:</strong> Direct experience with <strong>SEC Pre-clearance</strong>, <strong>Purchase Accounting (ASC 805)</strong>, and <strong>DeFi Accounting</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Product Diplomacy:</strong> The ability to partner with Trading and BizDev teams to assess the accounting impact of DeFi yields and "wrapped" assets before they launch.</li> <li><strong>Leadership:</strong> Proven ability to create SOPs for offshore teams to improve month-end cadence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexibility to work across different time zones during crucial periods such as month-end closes.</li> <li>Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li> <li>Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>*Will need to be flexible to work East Coast hours.</strong></p> <div><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>IMPORTANT: Recruitment Fraud Alert</strong></span><br>FalconX has been made aware of fraudulent job postings and "recruiters" misrepresenting our brand.
