<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2> <p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p> <p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p> <h2>Overview</h2> <p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>JerseySTEM provides free after school STEM classes to underserved middle school girls grade 5-8. Funds are raised through corporate donation, employee donations, individual donors and grants.</p> <p>The donations management team is in charge of:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain knowledge about the Corporate Platforms (Benevity, Easymatch, etc.)</li> <li>Update JerseySTEM information in the corporate platforms</li> <li>Uncover new funding opportunities with these platforms</li> </ul> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Upon Notification of a donation</li> <ul> <li>Download the donation information from the relevant platform</li> <li>Log the donation in Salesforce</li> <li>Notify the relevant JerseySTEM department</li> <li>Ensure the donor receives a thank you letter</li> </ul> <li>Weekly:</li> <ul> <li>Log in to the Corporate Donation Platforms and ensure credentials are valid, information is up-to-date</li> <li>Review Salesforce donation reports in Salesforce and ensure it matches the reality</li> </ul> <li>Special projects:</li> <ul> <li>Seek to take advantage of specific opportunities offered by specific platforms:</li> <ul> <li>Benevity has a Volunteer posting opportunities</li> <li>EasyMatch has Grants for Charities</li> <li>etc….</li> </ul> </ul> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>How success is measured in this role</strong></p> <p>You will be measured against the following Key Performance Indicators:</p> <ul> <li>How long it takes for a received donation to be recorded in Salesforce</li> <li>How long it takes for a donor to receive their thank you letter</li> <li>New related funding/fundraising opportunities uncovered </li> <li>How updated is the JerseySTEM information in the Platforms</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Resourceful, can-do attitude</li> <li>Comfortable with learning web based platforms</li> <li>Social Impact experience, Human Resources, Corporate sponsored emnplyee programs a pls </li> <li>Experience leading a function (i.e. team, department manager, etc) and managing others or desire to do so</li> <li>Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)</li> </ul> <p>Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for day time calls with the school admins during the work week</p> <p> </p>
