<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2> <p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p> <p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a&nbsp;<strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week&nbsp;</strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p> <h2>Overview</h2> <p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The primary role of the copywriter will be to write clear and concise copy for ads, publications and websites. </p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Attend weekly meeting Fridays 11am.12pm EST</strong></li> <li><strong>Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online</strong></li> <li>Work with the HR team to build projects and boklogs</li> <li>Interact with employees to be profiled</li> <li>Engage with the Webadmin team to make sure the copies are posted</li> <li>Edit and proofread copy as needed.</li> </ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience as a copywriter</li> <li>Excellent time-management and organizational skills</li> <li>Knowledge of online content strategy and creation</li> <li>BS/BA in marketing, English, journalism or related field preferred</li> <li>5 hours per week, 6-12 month minimum commitment</li> <li>This position is remote</li> </ul> <p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>
