<p>Location: Remote LATAM, Philippines and Eastern Europe.</p><p>Schedule: Full-Time with overlap during U.S. business hours</p><p>Employment Type: Independent Contractor</p><p>Department: $2,000 to $3,000 USD/ Monthly (Negotiable based on experience)</p>About the Role<p>We are seeking a highly creative and fast-paced Video Editor / Short-Form Content Creator who thrives in high-volume content environments. This role goes beyond editing—you'll identify compelling moments, craft attention-grabbing hooks, design thumbnails, and publish engaging content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. </p><p>The ideal candidate understands what makes audiences stop scrolling, has experience editing both long-form and short-form video, and can consistently produce high-quality content at scale while maintaining brand consistency. </p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage.</li><li>Create engaging short-form videos for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook.</li><li>Apply pacing, b-roll, captions, motion graphics, sound design, color correction, and visual enhancements. </li><li>Identify viral moments from long-form content.</li><li>Write compelling hooks, titles, captions, and on-screen text.</li><li>Optimize videos for engagement and platform performance.</li><li>Design high-converting YouTube thumbnails.</li><li>Create supporting graphics while maintaining consistent branding. </li><li>Upload and schedule content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.</li><li>Ensure content is formatted according to platform best practices. </li><li>Monitor trends and recommend new content ideas.</li><li>Analyze top-performing formats and continuously improve creative output. </li><li>Maintain organized project files, footage libraries, naming conventions, and archives to support an efficient production workflow.</li></ul> <ul><li>3+ years of professional video editing experience.</li><li>Strong portfolio showcasing Long-form YouTube content and Short-form vertical videos</li><li>Experience editing high-volume social media content.</li><li>Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Adobe After Effects</li><li>Experience creating motion graphics and text animations.</li><li>Strong experience with Photoshop, Figma, Canva</li><li>Strong audio editing skills: Noise reduction, Audio leveling, Music selection, Sound design</li><li>Experience creating captions and subtitles.</li><li>Understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts best practices.</li><li>Advance English proficiency.</li><li>Reliable internet connection.</li><li>Computer capable of editing 4K footage efficiently. </li></ul>Nice-to-Have<ul><li>Experience editing health, wellness, or medical content.</li><li>Familiarity with compliance-sensitive messaging.</li><li>Experience using AI editing tools such as: Opus Clip, Descript, ElevenLabs</li><li>Experience editing founder-led or personal brand content.</li><li>Familiarity with paid social media creative and ad variations.</li></ul> <ul><li> Remote Work: Work from anywhere—our team is global, and we value work-life balance. </li></ul><ul><li> Growth Opportunities: As a key player i you’ll have the chance to shape your role and grow with us. </li></ul><ul><li> Innovative Culture: Join a team that is passionate about leveraging data to solve challenges and drive success in a rapidly evolving market.</li></ul><p></p><p>As part of our recruitment process, all candidates will be kindly asked to agree to Lago’s Confidentiality and Non-Circumvention Agreement.
