Description The Patient Eligibility Verification Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that all verification of patient insurance benefits are done in a timely manner. An eligibility clerk must be able to handle multiple tasks and be well organized to process many cases. *THIS IS A REMOTE ROLE* Qualifications 1 year of Healthcare Insurance Verification required. Basic office skills and computer literacy required Primary Responsibilities: Perform patient insurance eligibility and benefit checks via web portal or telephone call with applicable insurance to determine exclusions and benefits. Update patient demographics to ensure that patient’s name and insurance details are correct. Conduct all assigned job duties in a timely and productive manner. Stay current with relevant insurance guidelines and policies. Work well with others in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation is a must. Complete other duties as assigned by Manager. Skilled Wound Care will ask all candidates to perform pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and appropriate relevant skills testing prior to hiring.
