This role will lead the assessment, restructuring, and development of the Financial Analyst team, fostering a high-performance culture through mentorship and clear accountability. The director will establish and optimize scalable business processes, develop robust reporting frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include ownership of both program-level and corporate financial reporting, development and execution of financial strategies, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant contract and regulatory requirements. The Senior Director will champion process improvements, implement best-in-class practices for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and contribute to the division’s strategic financial goals. Proven experience in leading cross-functional collaboration, supporting professional development, and enhancing financial systems is essential for this position.</p> <p><strong>This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.</strong></p> <p><strong>Application Deadline: May 20, 2026</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Strategy and Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute financial strategies to support the program's long-term growth, profitability, and objectives.</li> <li>Provide strategic financial guidance to the Senior Leadership Team.</li> <li>Prepare financial operations for growth by establishing scalable organizations, processes, and systems.</li> <li>Lead the development of the portfolio’s annual operating plan and monitor key performance metrics.</li> <li>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with corporate goals and contract requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial Operations and Risk Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive process improvements to optimize financial operations for efficiency and accuracy.</li> <li>Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including compliance, contractual, and market-related risks.</li> <li>Develop contingency plans to address funding disruptions or contract performance challenges.</li> <li>Raise the standard for timely and robust financial reporting, analysis, and planning to support a high-performance culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Leadership and Team Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assess the current state of the financial organization within the contract and design, plan, and implement the future state.</li> <li>Develop and implement processes and tools to support the portfolio’s growth and scalability.</li> <li>Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Financial Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Support professional development and succession planning within the finance organization.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills/Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including experience in government contracting or DoD-related industries.</li> <li>Strong understanding of government contracting processes, such as pricing, cost accounting, and compliance.</li> <li>Experience managing all elements of finance, including financial planning and analysis.</li> <li>Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.</li> <li>Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with experience collaborating across functional teams.</li> <li>Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Deltek Costpoint).</li> <li>Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts</li> <li>Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, including potential OCONUS travel - Must have valid US Passport.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span data-contrast="auto">#CJPOST #LI-DD1 #LI-REMOTE</span></p> </div> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p> </p> <hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
