This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with payroll processes, data management, compliance tasks, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to learn how payroll operations support the overall employee experience.</p> <p><strong>The Details:</strong><br />This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship running from early June through August 2026.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with processing weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including data entry, audit checks, and validation of employee records.</li> <li>Support the team in reviewing timecards, verifying hours worked, and ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state labor regulations.</li> <li>Help maintain accurate payroll records by updating employee information, tax forms, and deductions.</li> <li>Participate in reconciliation activities, such as checking payroll reports against source data.</li> <li>Assist in researching and resolving employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.</li> <li>Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments on payroll-related tasks and projects.</li> <li>Support process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, and workflow standardization.</li> <li>Complete special projects assigned by the Payroll Director/Payroll Managers.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>VALUES</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Work Ethic</strong> – Dedication to getting the job done well and on time, regardless of circumstances, a can-do attitude </li> <li><strong>Teamwork:</strong> Demonstrates the ability to pull people together into highly effective teams along with ability to work in a highly matrixed organization</li> <li><strong>Self-Motivated</strong>: Proactively jumps in to start a task or project with limited direction; asks to take on more responsibility and what is next</li> <li><strong>Collaborative:</strong> Demonstrates the ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal and get the work done; takes opinions of others into consideration; includes others in the decision-making process</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comfortable with numbers and basic financial concepts.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, and basic formulas).</li> <li>Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong> </strong><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>2nd or 3rd year or graduating student currently enrolled in an accredited college program</li> <li>Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint</li> <li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to protected health information and company financial information</li> </ul> <p><strong>SALARY RANGE</strong></p> <ul> <li>$17.00-$20.00 hourly.
