<p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated <strong>Project & Portfolio Management Intern</strong> to support enterprise-wide initiatives during the summer. This role is ideal for a third- or fourth-year undergraduate student interested in project management, business operations, strategic planning, or process improvement, who is detail-oriented, analytically minded and brings strong analytical skills and an interest in enterprise healthcare operations.</p> <p>The intern will participate in annual portfolio planning activities, support enterprise projects, and assist senior project managers with project activities.</p> <p><strong>The Details: </strong>This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship that will run from June 1st through August 7th, 2026.</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>In this role, you will gain exposure to core Project and Portfolio Management functions, while providing meaningful support to the team across planning, governance, delivery, and reporting. You will also g<span>ain hands-on experience with enterprise tools such as Asana, executive presentation tools, and process mapping software to support portfolio visibility and project execution.</span></p> <p><strong>Portfolio Planning & Governance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the annual enterprise portfolio planning process, including initiative intake, prioritization, and documentation.</li> <li>Assist in maintaining portfolio artifacts such as proposals, dashboards, and executive summaries.</li> <li>Help prepare materials for portfolio governance discussions (e.g., agenda drafts, pre-reads, meeting notes) and organize input from stakeholders.</li> <li>Perform basic quality checks on portfolio data (completeness, consistency, and formatting) and flag discrepancies to the portfolio lead.</li> <li>Support tracking of cross-initiative dependencies and follow-ups to keep intake and prioritization artifacts current.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Project Management & Delivery Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist senior project managers on active enterprise projects with planning, coordination, and execution activities.</li> <li>Help monitor project health indicators (e.g., milestone status, open actions, key risks/issues) and summarize highlights for weekly updates.</li> <li>Support maintenance of project documentation and communications for review by a senior project manager (e.g., status updates, schedules, decision logs, and action items).</li> <li>Participate in project meetings and capture notes, decisions, and follow-ups.</li> <li>Assist with meeting organization (scheduling, agendas, action-item follow-up) and help ensure owners/dates are documented and tracked.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Process Improvement & Solutioning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Observe and document current-state processes through diagrams and/or narratives.</li> <li>Participate in improvement discussions (retrospectives/lessons learned) and help document actionable recommendations and best practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reporting & Analysis</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare project and portfolio reports for leadership and stakeholders.</li> <li>Assist with basic data analysis.</li> <li>Support development of standardized reporting and dashboards.</li> <li>Assist with validating source data used in dashboards/reports (spot checks, trend notes, formatting consistency) to improve reliability of reporting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Collaboration & Learning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work cross-functionally with business, technology, and operations teams, including exposure to executives within the organization.</li> <li>Learn and apply standard project management and process improvement methodologies.</li> <li>Participate in mentoring and professional development opportunities.</li> <li>Demonstrate professionalism in a remote environment, including time management, responsiveness, and confidentiality with sensitive project information.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Enrolled in an accredited college program (entering 3rd or 4th year) with major coursework in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, Operations, or related field.
