<p>Are you a skilled federal procurement professional with sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities? STR is seeking an experienced <strong>Temporary Senior Procurement Administrator</strong> to join our Contracts & Supply Chain team, supporting mission-critical defense and government programs. We anticipate this assignment to last approximately 3.5 months.</p> <p>In this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Lead with Purpose:</strong> Spearhead strategic procurement operations that support high-priority defense and government initiatives.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate Across Teams:</strong> Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Programs, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering to understand requirements, align procurement activities with program requirements and schedule to deliver solutions that drive mission success.</li> <li><strong>Be the Go-To Expert:</strong> Tackle complex supply chain challenges for the DoW and Intelligence Community, providing deep expertise and innovative solutions.</li> <li><strong>Strategically Partner:</strong> Align with program teams and Contracts & Supply Chain leadership to develop and present strategic sourcing plans, including supplier selection, risk assessments, and performance reviews.</li> <li><strong>Apply Critical Thinking:</strong> Use your analytical skills and resourcefulness to identify risks, resolve complex issues, and develop creative, compliant solutions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the full procurement lifecycle from planning through closeout in accordance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS.</li> <li>Work closely with business, technical, and functional stakeholders to support business growth objectives and strong program performance.</li> <li>Develop and maintain effective external relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support program objectives and strengthen STR’s business partnerships.</li> <li>Conduct market research, supplier qualification, source selection, and cost/price reasonableness evaluations.</li> <li>Utilize purchasing and ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders and ensure compliance.</li> <li>Maintain accurate and complete procurement files and documentation in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company requirements.</li> <li>Experience using AI‑enabled tools and a strong willingness to learn and apply AI to drive efficiency and improve quality and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain processes.</li> <li>Recommend and help implement process improvements to scale and optimize procurement activities and practices.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders; respond promptly to inquiries regarding order status, changes, and returns.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or Master's degree + 3 years)</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (for which US Citizenship is required)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in negotiations and supplier management.</li> <li>Experience with FAR, DFARS, and agency‑specific regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply federal acquisition policies in context.</li> <li>Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and counterfeit parts prevention practices.</li> <li>Collaborative, self‑motivated, and efficient, with strong business judgment and analytical skills; interest in optimizing procurement and contracting practices while maintaining compliance.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with customers, partners, and colleagues at all levels.</li> <li>Willingness to expand expertise across other areas of Supply Chain as well as Contracts. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Pay Information</strong></p> <p><em>Full-Time Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $117,000.00</em></p> <p><em>The salary range listed is based on external market data.
