<div><strong>Job Description</strong></div><p style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Application Evaluator team is responsible for the holistic assessment of applicants’ materials. This position is a seasonal, part-time role with hours dependent on application flow. The role begins with training in September, and application evaluation until May 2027. While seasonal application evaluators do not need to be in the Nashville area, they must be available for periodic daytime meetings in the Central Standard Time Zone. This is an hourly position, and the candidate must keep accurate time records. </span></p><p>The Owen Graduate School of Management (OGSM) is a professional school at Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, focused on graduate-level business education. OGSM sees transformation as foundational. </p><p>The Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) unit is a dedicated team within OGSM focused on optimizing the recruitment, selection, aiding, onboarding, and enrollment of students throughout their academic journey. The SEM unit employs data-driven strategies that align enrollment practices with OGSM’s reputational ambitions, revenue goals, and academic mission. </p><div><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: square;"><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Evaluate applicant candidacy through application review in relation to evaluation criteria.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Write decision recommendations with clear rationales.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Orally present application review to team of individuals including senior leadership. </span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Complete application evaluations accurately and in a timely manner following a pre-determined applicant flow. </span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Understand and maintain strict confidentiality of admissions process and application data.</span></li><li style="line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with special projects related to the evaluation and selection process. These projects could include transcript review, benchmarking or strategic research projects.</span></li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Supervisory Relationships</strong></p><p>This role does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities for staff members. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Evaluation and Selection. </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. </li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">At least three years of relevant experience.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent oral and written communication skills.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to understand and maintain strict confidentiality of admissions process and application data.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated ability to function independently and meet deadlines. </span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. </span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Willingness and ability to learn new CRM system. </span></li><li><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Commitment to work an average of 15 hours a week (up to 25 hours a week) September through April. Hours dependent on application flow and volume and can occur outside of standard business hours.
