United States

About Aleph

Aleph is an AI-native platform for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), an established software category with a multi-billion market but no clear winner. We’re trying to solve a problem many finance teams are super familiar with: data scattered across a million systems, endless spreadsheets and way too much time spent getting numbers to line up instead of actually using them to make decisions.

Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft and Bain & Company. We’re backed by top VCs (Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, YC, Picus Capital), and work with customers like Webflow, Notion, Zapier, Y Combinator and many others.

We are hiring remotely across the Americas (United States, Canada, LATAM).

🔍 What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Strategic Business Development Lead, Private Equity to help private equity firms and their portfolio companies evaluate Aleph. Think of this as a sales engineer role built around the planning and reporting needs of PE sponsors and their portfolio companies. You’ll act as the subject matter expert on FP&A and portfolio monitoring best practices and the Aleph product, owning technical evaluations from first demo through decision.

This role sits at the intersection of finance expertise and sales execution. You’ll be deep in the product and in prospects’ financial workflows, and the job is ultimately about winning technical evaluations and earning trust fast with sponsors, operating partners, and portfolio company CFOs.

👷 What you’ll be doing

Showcase Aleph’s AI-native approach in action: Lead product demos and POCs that highlight how Aleph automates spreadsheet-heavy FP&A and sponsor reporting workflows using AI. You’ll own the technical proof points (demos, POCs and deep dive Q&A) and demonstrate how Aleph replaces manual work without forcing teams to abandon their spreadsheets

Run high-conviction, short-cycle trials: Design and lead fast-paced trials that deliver clear value in days, not months. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to configure solutions, answer edge-case questions, and accelerate the path to yes

Engage senior finance leaders and fund operating partners on AI and outcomes: Speak credibly with CFOs and operating partners about where AI fits in finance. You’ll answer hard finance questions, translate technical features into business value, and position Aleph as a strategic partner, not just a tool

Close the loop between buyer needs and product direction: Work closely with GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to refine Aleph’s positioning and roadmap -- especially around AI-first workflows and features. You’ll bring back real-world insights that help us sell smarter and build better

📝 What you bring

5+ years on an investment or value creation team at a PE firm, or in a finance role at a PE-backed company, comfortable working with a senior operating partner

Fast and sharp in a spreadsheet; confident building and defending a model

Translates fluently between finance and product speak

Thrives in ambiguity and moves fast on your own

Curious about AI and can make the case for it to a skeptic

Remote-ready and self-directed on a distributed team

Nice-to-haves: startup experience, SQL/BI tools, sales engineering background

While this is a remote-first opportunity, we're focusing on candidates within the Americas to better align with our working hours as a team.

Aleph is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
