This role is responsible for defining and evolving the shared foundations that enable product teams to deliver consistent, secure and high-quality user experiences at enterprise scale. <br/>Operating within a regulated environment, this role emphasizes platform reliability, governance, and developer enablement. <span>You will set technical direction for UI frameworks, tooling and patterns while partnering closely with product, design, security, compliance and infrastructure teams to ensure our platform balances speed to market with stability and control.</span><span><br/></span>At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. <h3> The Work Itself </h3> <ul><li>Own and evolve the UI platform architecture supporting web and mobile applications. </li><li>Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices through research, conferences. and professional networks, and drive the strategic adoption of innovative solutions within the organization’s technology stack.</li><li>Define standards, patterns and best practices for React and React Native used across product teams. </li><li>Design and maintain shared libraries, design systems, and foundational components. </li><li>Establish platform-level approaches for state management, navigation, authentication and cross-cutting concerns. </li><li>Ensure platform solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, accessibility and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Enable product teams through documentation, reference implementations and developer tooling. </li><li>Own and evolve the UI Test automation strategy across web and mobile platforms, ensuring it scales with the platform and supports rapid, safe delivery. </li><li>Drive platform modernization efforts, including framework upgrades, technical debt reduction, and performance improvements. </li><li>Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and release strategies. </li><li>Identify systemic risks and scalability issues and lead cross-team initiatives to address them. </li><li>Influence and guide technical decision-making across multiple teams by leading design and architecture reviews, establishing and maintaining engineering standards and best practices and providing mentorship and technical leadership to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with organization goals.</li><li>Familiarity with native mobile development concepts (iOS/Android) and their interaction with React Native.</li></ul> <h3> The Skills You Bring </h3> <br/><ul><li>7+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep UI specialization. </li><li>Expert-level experience with React, React Native, TypeScript and modern front-end architecture. </li><li>Proven experience designing and owning shared platforms, frameworks, and core libraries. </li><li>Experience operating in large-scale regulated environments with formal governance and compliance requirements. </li><li>Strong understanding of performance, accessibility, and maintainability at scale. </li><li>Ability to influence across teams without direct authority. </li></ul>#LI-Hybrid <h3> How We'll Have Your Back </h3> <p>Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
