<h2></h2> <p>The Philadelphia office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing civil defense litigation team.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and commercial litigation matters. </p> <p> </p> <p>The ideal candidate will have between 4 to 5 years of experience. This position provides an opportunity to practice at a firm with a national reach and handle interesting cases from pre-suit through appeal.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Handle all phases of professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution</li> <li>Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, breach of contracts, and other litigation-related documents</li> <li>Conduct legal research, assist with litigation strategy, and case analysis</li> <li>Manage discovery, prepare for, and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation</li> <li>Communicate directly with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and witnesses while providing regular case updates and strategic guidance</li> <li>Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters</li> <li>Assist with and/or handle insurance coverage matters as opportunities arise</li> <li>Provide proactive case management and client reporting </li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Admission to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey required, admission to Federal Courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey preferred</li> <li>4 to 5 years of professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and/or commercial litigation experience</li> <li>Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment</li> <li>Strong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional liability, general liability, directors' and officers' liability, and/or commercial litigation</li> <li>Insurance coverage litigation</li> <li>Experience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances</li> <li>Experience managing matters independently</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Kaufman Dolowich?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancement</li> <li>Unlimited PTO for Attorneys</li> <li>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package</li> <li>Robust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunities</li> <li>Meaningful clients contact and hands-on litigation experience</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>We offer flexible work arrangements, including fully remote and hybrid options.</em></strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong><em>The specific arrangement will be determined in collaboration with you, based on your experience, responsibilities, and team needs.</em></strong></p>
