The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience managing Azure Databricks environments, implementing infrastructure best practices, and troubleshooting complex cloud platform issues. Candidates who are not currently based in Mexico will not be contacted for this opportunity.</em></strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 66, 135); font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>3+ years of experience</strong> in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.</li> <li><strong>Strong hands-on experience administering Azure Databricks</strong>, including workspace provisioning, cluster management, runtime configuration, and platform lifecycle management.</li> <li>Experience defining and implementing <strong>Databricks architecture, administration, security, and cost-optimization best practices</strong>.</li> <li>Strong proficiency with <strong>Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</strong> tools such as Terraform or Azure Bicep.</li> <li>Experience with scripting languages such as <strong>Python, Bash, or PowerShell</strong>.</li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>Azure networking and security</strong>, including VNet Injection, Private Endpoints, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and secure Databricks deployment models.</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure automation and CI/CD tools such as <strong>Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions</strong>.</li> <li>Knowledge of access management and governance using <strong>Unity Catalog and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)</strong>.</li> <li data-pm-slice="1 1 ["list",{"spread":false,"start":844,"end":2199},"regular_list_item",{"start":1871,"end":1966}]">Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and distributed computing issues.</li> </ul> <p data-start="397" data-end="775"><span style="color: rgb(0, 66, 135); font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Own the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of <strong>Azure Databricks environments</strong>, including workspaces, clusters, and runtimes.</li> <li>Establish and enforce best practices for <strong>Databricks administration, platform architecture, security, reliability, and cost optimization</strong>.</li> <li>Serve as the primary infrastructure partner for Data Engineering teams, ensuring platform availability and operational stability.</li> <li>Monitor cloud infrastructure proactively, identifying and resolving performance, availability, and configuration issues.</li> <li>Respond promptly to <strong>high-severity incidents, emergency support tickets, and Databricks cluster failures</strong>, minimizing disruption to data operations.</li> <li>Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation using <strong>Terraform, Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines</strong>.</li> <li>Configure and maintain secure Azure network architectures, including <strong>VNet Injection, Private Endpoints, and NSGs</strong>.</li> <li>Implement and manage platform security, access controls, and governance using <strong>Unity Catalog and Microsoft Entra ID</strong>.</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex distributed computing and cloud platform issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate with Data Engineering and Infrastructure teams to support platform requirements and ensure reliable data processing environments.</li> <li>Independently evaluate infrastructure needs, make technical decisions, and drive continuous improvements in platform operations.</li> <li>Optimize cloud resource utilization, infrastructure performance, and operational efficiency.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 66, 135); font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>What you can expect from us</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Here at Nexaminds, we're not your typical workplace.
