<p data-pasted="true">TITLE: Therapist, Behavioral Health</p><p>RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinical Supervisor</p><p>WORK AREA: Outpatient office, Community, Telehealth</p><p>SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Therapist&#39;s primary role, under the direction of the Clinical</p><p>Supervisor, is to utilize their specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in</p><p>counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and preparation and delivery of treatment plans for</p><p>children, adolescent, and adult patients. The Behavioral Health Therapist will provide therapy</p><p>sessions for individuals, groups, and families.</p><p>BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN CATEGORY I: Tasks with actual blood/body fluid exposure are</p><p>not included in this position&rsquo;s duties as the job requires therapeutic counseling only.</p><p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>Day-To-Day Responsibilities</p><p> Provide individual and group strengths-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and</p><p>families.</p><p> Establish clear goals and strategies for the welfare of the client and maintain documentation</p><p>of services provided and client progress.</p><p> Work with the client to develop an individual treatment plan according to OMHAS and</p><p>CARF person/family-centered standards, review and monitor services and activities,</p><p>documenting progress.</p><p> Support the care team environment by working collaboratively with clients and their</p><p>families as appropriate, physicians, nurse practitioners, case management, referral sources,</p><p>and ancillary agencies.</p><p> Provide client referrals to psychiatry/nurse practitioners, support groups, or other mental</p><p>health professionals or agencies, and document services provided per the policies of PATH</p><p>Behavioral Health, your professional licensing body, and state and federal guidelines.</p><p> Participate in care conferences and case reviews, and document and report concerns of</p><p>abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities according to the requirements of state/federal</p><p>law and your licensing body.</p><p> Work professionally with referring providers or agencies, court systems, probation</p><p>departments, foster care agencies, and the school system.</p><p> Be committed and respectful of cultural diversity, religious and personal values, and</p><p>traditions of clients and their families in alignment with the Path&rsquo;s mission.</p><p>Day-To-Day Team Member Responsibilities</p><p> Willingly serve in a professional and collaborative capacity with all other employees of</p><p>Path Behavioral Healthcare, fully understanding and complying with all organizational</p><p>processes and policies.</p><p> Collaborate with all supervisors and coworkers to communicate with transparency and drive</p><p>implementation of the organization&#39;s goals, objectives, and processes.</p><p> Maintain an organized practice and schedule, be at work on time and ready to work, and</p><p>leave work at the completion of client care responsibilities.</p><p> Reduce client rescheduling by fully informing the appropriate person of necessary time off</p><p>work.</p><p> Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA guidelines, confidentiality agreements, billing and</p><p>coding guidelines, and company policy.</p><p> Maintain a demeanor of positive professionalism and serve as a model for others to</p><p>exemplify the mission and vision of Path Behavioral Healthcare.</p><p>Licensing/Continuing Education</p><p> Maintains an active, unrestricted Ohio license to provide clinical counseling services.</p><p> Attends all required continuing education opportunities per the regulations of your licensing</p><p>body.</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>Education: Candidate must have a Master&#39;s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an</p><p>accredited university. A Bachelor&#39;s degree in Social Work is also acceptable if the candidate holds</p><p>a valid LSW license.</p><p>Licensure: Candidates must possess one of the following licenses: LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC</p><p>Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, including at least</p><p>1 year of experience in an outpatient setting.</p><p>Physical Effort: This position requires the ability to work under stressful conditions and to work</p><p>irregular hours. Requires sitting for extended periods of time, viewing computer monitors, and</p><p>keyboarding.</p><p>Communication Skills: Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills</p><p>in order to communicate professionally via telephone and in writing. Strong grammar and writing</p><p>skills are crucial for clear and concise communication with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare</p><p>professionals.</p><p>Interpersonal Skills: The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to interact and assist in</p><p>a friendly, compassionate, and professional manner with colleagues, providers, clients, and their</p><p>families, as they represent both themselves and Path Behavioral Healthcare.</p><p>Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Candidates must achieve competency in the Electronic Health</p><p>Record (EHR) program, telemedicine services, and any additional software programs utilized by the</p><p>company, ensuring efficient access and updating of client information. The role requires fine</p><p>dexterity, adept handling, and proficient gripping abilities to perform various tasks.</p><p>Background: The candidate must pass all federal and state background checks, and their</p><p>educational and work history will be confirmed in compliance with company policies.</p>
