<p>Description</p><p>**This position is for our office in Santa Barbara, CA - We are open to fully remote with occasional travel to the Santa Barbara office**</p><p><br/></p><p>Due to continuing growth, our team is seeking a Senior Tax Manager who has an entrepreneurial spirit and knows how to get things done. We envision this person to be a future leader for the firm taking ownership of both client relationships and team management. This individual will play a critical role in driving growth, mentoring employees, and upholding the firm’s standards of excellence. In addition to the traditional roll-up your sleeves tax review and client advisory, the role requires a strong sense of entrepreneurship, strategy, and management. Enjoy a professional and dynamic work environment while making work/life balance a priority.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li>Work with and support the firm's Director in leading and managing the local team</li><li>Become a primary point of contact for clients from retiring partners</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for new clients</li><li>Work with the firm's executive team and Director to develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives, product, and services offering and operational strategies</li><li>Review and manage individual, business (c-corps, s-corps, and partnerships) and trust tax return engagements</li><li>Lead firm's consulting and advisory efforts in the region</li><li>Lead and manage staff in areas of research, training, and development</li></ul><p><strong>What we look for:</strong></p><ul><li>7 - 12 years of experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership and estate tax returns</li><li>Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred</li><li>CPA or EA certification required</li><li>Direct experience managing staff and client relationships</li><li>Excellent communication and attention management skills</li><li>Proprietor mentality and work ethic</li><li>Entrepreneurial minded with an interest in strategy and operations</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Market-leading base compensation</li><li>Paid medical benefits and 401(k)</li><li>Autonomy to lead and manage the office in a way that promotes overall wellness for yourself and employees</li></ul><p>The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $195,000 per year, which represents a good faith and reasonable estimate. Compensation decisions depend on numerous factors including bona fide qualifications and the facts and circumstances of each case at the time of hiring. Relevant qualifications include, but are not limited to employee education, training, skillset, credentials/certifications, relevant work experience, geographic work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal level and peer equity, and market considerations.</p><p><br/></p><p>Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.</p><p><br/></p>
