<p><strong>Financial Assistance Specialist</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Details:<br /></strong>Shift: Full-Time <br />Location: Remote<br />Reports to: Manager, RCM<br /><br /><strong>You must reside in one of these states to be eligible for this position:</strong></p> <p>Arkansas    California    Kentucky<br />Massachusetts Nevada    New Mexico<br />Oregon     Utah     Tennessee<br />Texas     Wyoming</p> <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>This position provides Medicaid enrollment support and financial assistance services for community-based individuals.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Screen and assist with all steps of the Medicaid and Charity Care/Other Assistance Programs enrollment process.</li> <li>Make/take phone calls related to the Medicaid and Charity Process to both patients and Medicaid state representatives.</li> <li>Gather, verify, evaluate, and enter necessary social, financial, and medical information into various forms/applications.</li> <li>Collaborate with on-site leadership and financial counselors to ensure timely submission of Medicaid or Charity applications based off program guidelines.</li> <li>Maintain proper certification and training on federal and state level (if required).</li> <li>Maintain a knowledge base of the current Medicaid/Charity/Other Assistance Programs within the state and keep up to date with ongoing changes to any policies and procedures – Federal, State, Organization.</li> <li>Meet or exceed daily standards for performance, accuracy, customer service, and quality.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Recognizes and consistently exhibits exceptional customer service as a critical factor in all duties performed.</li> <li>The ability to work within a remote call center environment free from distractions and background noise.</li> <li>Proficient in typing.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.</li> <li>General knowledge of health insurance guidelines.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
